Dreamy oasis

This home is absolutely beautiful, and also casual and comfortable. We had everything we needed and then some. It was the perfect place for our family to stay. Close to everything.

Outstanding Experience

Makalea Cottage was an absolutely wonderful place to spend a week! The home is within striking distance of a lovely beach, a cozy town center, a high end shopping center, and a scenic golf course. Makalea provided all of the amenities that we could ask for and more! My favorite part of the house is the ability to close off the screened in porch with very large sliding glass doors, or open them completely to have the house feel very open. If I am ever back in Kauai I know where I will be staying.

Beautiful House, Great Location!

Our week long stay was fantastic! Makalea cottage has a great floor plan with a wide open living area and kitchen. The house is in fantastic condition with cheerful furnishings and stocked with everything you need for your stay. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood of other beautiful properties but it’s only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The house backs up to the golf course and is as nice and comfortable as it looks in the photos. Thanks for the wonderful stay – we’ll be back again!

Convenient Poipu Get Away

Stayed here for a week with wife and 4 children. Great house, open main area and comfortable beds for everyone. 20 min walk to many restaurants and shops. Quiet neighborhood.

Very Nice

Air conditioner broke when power went out

I found the property we stayed at through VRBO and then there was a handoff, it was a little confusing.

Excellent

The dishwasher was not working, but there was a note about it. We really did not need it, so it was not an issue for us to schedule a repair.
