Kukuiula Bay is small but packed with things to see on the Poipu Beach coastline. From its active harbor to Kauai activities for sportsmen, kids of all ages will like the small Kauai beach which is sheltered and calm. Outside the breakwater there is a good surf spot for experts. The oceanfront pavilions are a perfect setting for a Kauai family gathering, BBQ or picnic. Located across from our Kauai vacation rentals at Kukui`ula®, this is a fun stop on your way to Spouting Horn or the Kauai gardens at Allerton and McBryde.
Park your beach chair and watch the Kauai sunset from here or the Kauai sunrise. You may also get a glimpse of outrigger canoe teams practicing. This is the home turf for the Kukui`ula Outrigger Canoe Club and one of the fastest outrigger canoes on Kauai can be seen resting near the beach. Look for the Parrish Kauai 6-man Bradley Lightning that proudly bears our name and is called Ka Makani `O Maha`ulepu.
A small number of boats are moored here permanently and a few launch daily. Long-pole shore and throw-net fishermen frequent this spot as well. It always seems like something interesting is going on. This is a great place to hang out and watch locals and tourists alike.
Walk across the road and you will see the ultra-luxury residential community of Kukui`ula and its private Kauai golf course designed by golf legend Tom Weiskopf. Kukui`ula Bay is the launching point for many of its ocean activities for guests of our nearby oceanfront properties.
You will also find other top Poipu rentals nearby like Mau Loa Ohana, Kauai Kai, Hale Hokuu Too, Hale Kilokilo and Sandy Beach House.

My husband and I (72 and 75) absolutely LOVE the Cherished Seacoast house. . . .a perfect place for a honeymoon . . .we originally planned to cook our meals, but found a fantastic restaurant within walking distance and then fell in love with the deli at the market in Koloa . . . .
