great location. close to town. across the street from a small beach and harbor which was less crowded than other beaches in the area we loved the outdoor area. pool is not heated and was quite cold on the rainy days but refreshing on the hot days. house is nice. it is just a bit dated and has an odd layout. kitchen has lots of cooking utensils and pans but zero basics (salt, pepper, oil) so make sure to bring those. we used instacart which worked great. this is a professionally managed property and the hosts were very responsive.

Perfect home for pure peace and luxury. Quite part of town, close enough to walk to a restaurant and beaches. The home is right on the water! The reef doesn't allow you to swim directly in front the home. But the pool makes us for it. Less then a block walk to a swimming beach.

Home is as close to perfect as it gets! Private, gorgeous setting in paradise, right on the ocean. We loved watching the sea turtles play mere feet away. The view!
We stayed in this luxurious home over the Christmas holiday. The home was beautiful, very well maintained. The kitchen was lovely and had everything we could possibly need. The oceanfront pool was our favorite. The little touches, i.e., the Mai Tais, the welcome basket full of goodies, the well stocked essentials such as extra towels, pool towels and toys, was appreciated. There was a power outage while we were there and it caused the pool pump to quit working. We called Parish Kauai's office and within a couple of hours we had two maintenance personnel at our door to fix it. Just excellent service! We will definitely stay with Parish Kauai again in the future.

Stunning Paradise
The home is almost exactly as pictured. The view is impressively stunning and waking up to the morning sunrise and crashing waves each morning was priceless. The location is convenient to many stores and restaurants. The only negatives: hammock was broken and not replaced, the blender appeared to have never been cleaned properly and there was no hot tub (not a big negative because we wouldn't have used it anyway). The pool was a big hit with everyone (especially the 5 y/o). The kitchen and outdoor grill made family breakfasts and dinners wonderful. The welcome gift basket was a nice surprise. And we REALLY want the Mai Tai recipe!!

I’ve rented many Hawaiian vacation properties across the islands, all with beautiful views, but watching and hearing the surf crash on the shore as we relaxed by the pool, brought a calming and gentle rhythm to our breathing. Very relaxing. Also, really appreciated the quality furniture and decor. Really appreciated the early check-in and the fact that Jaime was willing to do the walk-thru with my daughter and husband, who were part of our party, while we were doing last minute grocery shopping. We had a problem with the shower in the guest bathroom between the 2 guest rooms. The shower water pooled on the bathroom floor at every shower. We washed and dried the floor mat daily because it got so soggy.

Again, another great stay with TPC. Thanks so much for your help in booking a family vacation of a lifetime!! Jamie, our host, was always available with help. She was especially helpful during the island-wide power outage and subsequent rolling blackouts. We also let Jamie know about several minor issues that we encountered that did not need immediate attention. Jamie forwarded these to the property manager. A shower was broken the first night but was fixed the next day.
Beautiful Views of the Poipu Coastline(from the pool)!
Backyard is spectacular! We spent most evenings in the pool, watching the sun drop, drinking adult beverages, while turtles swam by. One night we sat out and watched the stars slowly fill the entire sky. House is well equipped(pots, plates, silverware, towels, etc) and even has some water toys to use(boogie boards, etc). We loved the location, about a mile away from the resorts. Inside the home, the beds were adequate, and there were some nice spaces to find solitude when necessary. Overall, a great rental. Mahalo!

Location, turtles, dolphins, spaciousness, comfort
Jamie and Crystal were very helpful. The owners had apparently just left Kauai Kai and -- reasonably -- had some things that needed to be done. We didn’t know about those -- like taking out a palm tree and some silliness about window blinds. We should have been told about the tree, and at the price we’re paying I didn’t expect to have routine checking or maintenance done during our stay, as it can be intrusive. VERY minor and reported only at the end: window onto the lanai from small bathroom sticks and was not possible for me to close all the way. No big thing.

Having stayed previously at a Parrish property we knew the level of service and properties would be great.
The ease of the process and properties are always top notch. Christie was great as was the rep I worked with to book/pay for the rental. The pool and hot tub were awesome! At checkout we reported a slight issue with one of the stove burners and the dishwasher, nothing major and surely nothing that impacted the enjoyment of our stay.

Wonderful Home
We stayed in this home for about 9 days with our family group of seven. My mother-in-law loved hearing the ocean every night while she slept. We spent most evenings out on the porch/pool deck looking at the stars. The home is very close to the “little” boat harbor in Poipu & a quick walk to the Spouting Horn. If you are more ambitious the newer mall is 1.4 miles away; which has great restaurants and shops. Having A/C was great & the kitchen is well stocked, we cooked breakfast everyday. We have stayed in Kauai many times over the last 25 years and this was a great location for the ages of our kids (20’s). Beach is really not swimmer friendly -but a short drive will take you down to Kiahunna, which is one of the best beaches on the south shore for surfing, swimming, or sand boarding.

Christie was amazing!She made it very easy and answered all of my questions and concerns efficiently and quickly. Our chef that we chose that was recommended by the Parrish Collection was JP Filion was amazing. His food was superb and his professionalism was so greatly appreciated. The chef definitely made the most positive impact on our trip and we loved it. The helicopter company was also very nice and curteous. On the other hand the fishing company that was recommended was not the best, not very friendly and the morning of we were told that the bathroom was broken on the boat and didn’t give us any other option than to “go in a bucket”. The catamaran company was also not as polite and the captain made us feel a little uncomfortable while he was telling us how the other catamaran companies have hurt him financially.

Natalie met us with mai tais upon arrival & arranged that we could check in early! This was a great help since we had shopped at Costco & needed to refrigerate numerous items. From early on in the planning phases she was very patient with us emailing us with updates etc. She also arranged a great deal with the Poipu Athletic Club-family membership $100 for the week which my husband & kids used everyday! If we were doing another joint family vacation, would definitley consider this location!

The pictures of the house on the website do not give the ocean’s closeness to the house. It may be work having a short video. The air-condition thermostat control governors were annoying and made it uncomfortable at times. Also, the fan controls were difficult to operate. Some help with them would have been helpful. The concierge services before we arrived were very helpful.

The house, Natalie, the office staff, the seamless experience.
Location, location, location. And the house is enormously comfortable. Hard to beat sitting on the lanai watching turtles by the rocks and cavorting whales offshore. Natalie took good care of us with an intro to the area (although we’d been at the house before) and followed up with phone calls twice during our stay to make sure things were going well and asking if there was anything she could do to make our stay better.

Ambience of ocean and pool. Lanai.
Awesome property and location to navigate around Kauai and enjoy the island. Property had everything needed to take care of daily living. Natalie Koziarski responded in timely manner with all requests regarding things of interest to the family and handled bookings. Made appropriate referrals for services being sought during stay. Called prior to departure to seek feedback and answered questions relative to check out and other items. Very personable and attentive to requests. Only down side was responsibility of checking in 2 homes within same time frame.
The location and the house itself was unbelievable!!! ???? The onsite staff and support was wonderful.
It was more beautiful than the pictures even showed!! The only two minor issues were the ongoing issue with hot water heater in master bath and lack of hot water on that side of house for three days. From the sounds of it, the water heater needs to be replaced. The maintenance person had to come out twice to reset it which was a bit inconvenient. The only other issue was the fact that we were told that the house would be cleaned onTuesday, one week into our 10 day visit. The housekeepers did come on Tuesday, however all that was done was refilling toilet paper, adding new towels and making beds. None of the bathrooms were cleaned, kitchen wasn’t cleaned, windows, etc… Just didn’t meet our expectations of “house cleaning”.

Beautiful Home!
The photos and description were spot on. But when we walked in the door we were beyond blown away. So gorgeous!! The Parrish Collection, particularly Kristie in the Koloa office made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the evening sail -- fun for everyone. The children had great fun in the nearby beach, at the baby beach, on the train, and the Poipu Shopping Center Hula Show. This was a time for all the family to be together. Thank you for the extra three hours at the house before our departure…it was really a gift.

This beautiful property was the best choice for lodging my family from Oahu for my son’s graduation. It was easy to find and absolutely the most beautiful place i have ever stayed. The pool was a welcomed treat since the ocean was right there, but not summable. The only problem we had was some of the relatives took home the soaps and shampoo and conditioner -- a big no-no as we later found out. Rather than send them back from Oahu, they opted to pay for them via a smaller deposit return… something you would think would have been included in the high price! I wonder what would have happened had we used it all and threw away the containers? Oh well, it was still worth it! Our personal host Christie was absolutely the best! There was one small problem that she resolved immediately. She was a real sweety.

This is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. It is more suitable for 4 couples than 5 since the twin bedroom is actually a den with no closet, very little storage space and hot. The room needs a ceiling fan. The home was very well appointed and I would stay again with fewer people. We enjoyed watching the turtles, whales, eels and fish.

Great Family Holiday
We stayed at Kauai Kai over the 2010 Chirstmas Holidays. We had a wonderful time in a really comfortable home. Watching the sea turtles and feeding the eels was very enjoyable. The evening sunsets are spectacular. The house is very comfortable with all the amentities you expect. A great snorkle beach is within walking distance to the house.

The house is so nice that it became one of our destinations.
There is not much that is not perfect about this house for two or three couples. It was very comfortable with a quality of furniture and furnishings not generally found in a home available for rent. We spent entire afternoons on the shaded patio watching the surf. We cooked three dinners on the backyard grill and ate them on the pool deck underthe stars. The only things that kept the house from being absolutely perfect were: (i) we were never able to get the shower or indoor jacuzzi water hot enough; and (ii) one bedrooms was considerably nicer than the others (but that’s a design choice made when the house was built). We would stay there again.

Watching the Turtles
Great house right on the ocean. In the morning, my wife and I sat on the lanai out back, drinking coffee and watching the turtles play in the breaking waves. Kids loved the pool. Spa (hot tub) was not on (or hot) and we did not know how to turn it on, but we also never bothered to call the property manager to get it going. Very nice kitchen, but we did not use it much (we ate out mostly). Rooms were very comfortable and clean. I had trouble getting on a wireless internet connection, but was able to plug in to the Cable Modem that the PC in the office was plugged in to -- that worked well enough. I would rent here again.
