AMAZING two bed two bath condo! We had the best view on the compound of the bay. Great amenities and decor. The value was huge considering what the Hyatt next door is charging. Beautiful place with great location.

Family trip

This is a beautiful location with everything you need. We were very nervous about not having air conditioning but with the windows open it cools down significantly. It was only hot inside the first day when the unit had been closed up. We would go back in a heart beat!

Gorgeous views

Gorgeous views And easy accessibility to both Shipwreck and Poipu Beach. I woke up to the sunrise with my own personal view every morning. They have the unit very well stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need during your stay. The management company has checked in with me throughout the week to be sure that I had everything I needed. Excellent stay and would highly recommend this unit.

Great Rental Location

You can’t beat the location of this property or the views. We bought a day pass for the Hyatt for two of the days we were there and enjoyed all of the amenities with just a short walk to the property and Shipwreck Beach. On the days we explored Kauai, we were happy to come back to the beautiful condo. The master bedroom balcony and bathroom were second to none. The only compliant we had was that we had trouble reaching the property manager and staff over the weekend. We were told that some maintenance issues would be worked on during our stay to not delay check in any further and they never came during our entire stay. The screen door was ripped and didn’t shut. We also were locked out of the private Poipu Sands pool bc the pool key was not in our condo. Another couple let us in, but when we tried to reach the property manager once we realized you also needed a key to get out of the pool, they didn’t get back to us until the next day. A property security man helped us and we got the pool key the next day, 12 hours later. Communication issues aside, it’s a very nice place and we would recommend it.

Great Spot

Excellent location, good space, beautiful views. A little hot without an AC, but it is Hawaii and having the ocean breeze is what you come for! I will say that Poipu area was quite busy in August - beaches packed, restaurant reservations difficult, activities booked up months in advance, heavy traffic when exploring the island. Sadly, not the totally laid-back island I remember from prior visits 11 and 22 years ago.

This is a great option for your stay! The view from the deck of the waves at 100-200 yards and Shipwreck Point sunrises (in August) are unbeatable. We spent much time relaxing there and enjoyed every minute. Of all the units in this devleopment there are probably 5-6 that share this view. Choose wisely if this is important to you. The development runs back to the street from our unit and the views are diminished. The unit is located right next to the Hyatt Regency so there is much to be gained there, while still having two bedrooms, a full kitchen, living area, and dining area for substantially less than just a room at the Hyatt. We enjoyed the privacy of the condo setup but took advantage of the Hyatts coffee bar open at 5:30 am. We are early risers and walked down the sidewalk beachside every day to sit and relax while the sun rose with the view of the pools and ocean. We also went to two of the restaurants and the bars on several occasions for the mandatory Mai Tai's and Pina Coladas. If you are an early riser you can take the walk down the sidewalk and continue on the beach to Shipwrech Point and walk up the slope. Wear tennis shoes etc for a nominal climb up a short slope to see an amazing sunset to the east that you will never forget. Pictures can't do it justice but it is breathtaking. We did it three times in seven days. Each was different and amazing. Close proximity to key things like restaurants and activities. We did zip lining and ATV touring from the same place ten minutes away. Both were great and unforgettable. Ziplining does take some short hiking and stair climbing. ATV was a blast but be ready to be covered with mud. You'll see the real Kauai on this trip. Everything was in order and clean at the condo and there was plenty of room for three. The closet is fully equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards, and coolers. The facility is "as advertised. Enjoy.

Paradise Vacation

This condo was a perfect location for our vacation. We woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise over Shipwreck Beach and just a short walk in the evenings to see the sunset. The view from the lanai was breathtaking. The Parrish Group was outstanding. The refrigerator wasn’t getting cold and they had a service technician over immediately. The only suggestion we have would be to replace the carpet. We would definitely stay here again!

Everyone was great, especially the reception people at Poipu road. I had two pieces of mail delivered there and they were great!!! I wish I knew their names but every person I dealt with was great.

Wonderful comfortable unit.

Great view and access to walking paths. Reservations was particularly helpful when the original unit we had booked suddenly became unavailable so we were offered options.

The location overlooking Shipwreck Beach was pretty special.

Easy booking, no (unpleasant) surprises upon arrival, the condo was exactly as advertised and was well stocked. The only glitch was that we didn’t receive pool keys with the condo keys (and didn’t realize that until we actually got to the pool). But the problem was rectified quickly and keys were delivered to the condo asap.

Great location as advertised

The condo design was excellent. The master suite upstairs was very, very nice. Bathroom and shower were a ten. Sadly, the carpets were not clean. Some rusty lamp shades were a distraction. Screen doors needed repair. There were no basics in the kitchen except for creamer packages for coffee. There were only two mismatched stemmed wine glasses which was a real surprise for a unit of this price. The Parrish people were very helpful when locked ourselves out though. Overall a great place with lots of e trash but missing some expected basics.
Mahalo Dr Ben for your feedback. We apologize on the miss with the carpets and screen doors. It is no excuse, but it has been back-to-back and we have not been able to get the clean scheduled. Great Location and Great Views

We are visitors to the Poipu area for 30+ years. Poipu Sands is our favorite place to stay-especially Building 5. Views of Shipwreck Beach, nearby hiking trails, and all the other things that make our winter escape enjoyable.

Very Nice Unit but .....

The unit was imaculate and the location is very convenient to both Shipwreck and Poipu beach. The unit does not have AC and so we had the windows open the entire trip. The problem is the unit is directly adjacent to a waste treatment facility and we had some fowl odors wafting around for much of the trip. The high level of rain and erratic wind patterns may have heightened the smell more than normal but we won’t rent there again despite the great location and great unit.
Aloha Chris, Mahalo for your review. On the STP, it is actually in the parking lot quite a bit away, but we do understand that at times of high occupancy and low winds, the odor can linger. Like most of older Poipu Resorts, Poipu Sands has its own treatment plant and there is not much we can do about that. However, we can certainty guide you to a unit farther away from it (or to a completely different complex). Mahalo again and a hui hou.

525 Beautiful view ,great location ,needs work

We spent 9 nites at unit 525 The views are great. The location is very nice. The bedrooms and baths were great and very clean. The main living room carpet is dirty, and stained. The cushions on the main couch had nasty food stains . We covered it with abed blanket. The carpet between the dining table and pass through countertop had a ton of stains. The kitchen has limited utensils. No toaster , only large fry pans. The community gas BBQ is very nice and was very clean. We used it several times but it is a 200 yard hike. The pool was beautiful ! This could be an awesome place if they would replace what needs to be replaced. We spent $5,800 for the stay, and expected better.

Perfect Oceanfront Getaway

This was the centre point of a perfect island vacation for my family. Every activity you can imagine is just outside the doorstep -- surfing, golfing, swimming, hiking, tennis and biking. But why leave? The condo is spacious and beautifully appointed. You may just decide to turn on the BBQ, mix a cocktail then kick back on the huge deck and drink in all the beauty that surrounds you. You can’t ask for a better vacation.

Absolute paradise!

From eating breakfast and watching the sun rise to watching it set while enjoying dinner, the view from the lanai is unbelievable. Has to be one of the best condos at Poipu Sands! Great location, close to shopping and restaurants and a leisurely 2-minute walk through the beautiful Grand Hyatt grounds to Shipwreck’s beach. The condo is clean, spacious and modern, as are the grounds and pool. Can’t beat falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Life slowed right down, I haven’t felt that relaxed in a long time. Absolute paradise, we’ve already booked for next year!

This condo is everything!!!

Stayed here for two amazing weeks! Amazing views, huge patios fully furnished, comfortable sized living room for families, and two huge bedrooms on separate floors. Perfection! Open layout great for families and an awesome kitchen/bar for entertaining. Quiet at night which was perfect for us with two little kids. Proximity to all beaches is 5 mins and the pool is huge and hardly ever busy so we had it to ourselves the whole time! Sit on the lanai at night with a glass of wine and listen to the ocean right in front of you! Will be back!

Great location; updated unit facing the ocean

We rented unit 525 (second floor, two bedroom, two bathroom unit overlooking Shipwreck Beach) via Parrish rentals and were very happy with the location, the unit and how well it was kept. All the rooms have ceiling fans and some louvered windows so there is always a good breeze (this is not air conditioned). This is a two-floor unit -- master bedroom is upstairs with its own lanai and a large shower with louvered windows (which was lovely). The bathrooms have been updated and are in great shape. Lots of closet space. Plenty of crockery, glasses, silverware and so on. Full sized fridge, toaster, coffee maker, kettle -- we ate breakfast there and generally had dessert and tea/coffee there, but mostly ate out so I can’t comment on doing big meals in the kitchen. It certainly looked as if it would handle it. The WiFi was good throughout the unit and on the lanai and we have AT&T phones and had reception pretty much everywhere we went (I didn’t check on the helicopter tour, so maybe not there ???? ) Parrish were very helpful the couple of times I called them -- once because we couldn’t figure out how to get the showers to turn on (pull out on the handle!). We had no maintenance issues while we were there. There was unfinished construction on some new units nearby -- we couldn’t see them from our unit and didn’t hear them working at all (don’t know if they were or not; we’d been told it was 9am to 4pm only). Sitting out on the lanais (there’s one up one down) with tea or coffee in the early morning is wonderful. A gorgeous view of the sea and sunrise with palm trees at the Hyatt waving in the foreground. It’s nice to be able to walk over to the Hyatt’s restaurant or Shipwreck Beach (which really isn’t for swimming). We drove to Poipu Beach park, but it is apparently walkable. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
