Nihi Kai Villas had a great location a short walk from Brennecke's beach and Poipu beach park, very comfortable and fully appointed vacation rental for a family.

Across our Hawaiian vacation which consisted of several islands and other Airbnb properties, this location was easily the best of the trip. A fantastic unit with all the accommodations we could need. I have been coming to this island for years. The Parrish Collection has NEVER let me down for value, comfort and making me feel at home. My options are always a hotel, or a condo. Pay for parking and internet, or enjoy the spaciousness of home. This trip is the Mini Kai, where I have stayed many times. The units are well maintained, spacious, neighbors are friendly and the view speaks for itself. Have not had any maintenance issues during the years but have had coworkers with issues, that were fixed same day so that is impressive. This island is very peaceful and laid back, so why deal with a 90sq ft room, when you can have it all. Kitchen, laundry, view, not meeting neighbors in a hallway, etc…

Overall the unit was great!

Check-in for us wasn’t at the Parrish office, but at Nihi Kai Office. Still, efficient experience. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was not working properly. It wasn’t until the second day did we figure out that the back of the unit was vented incorrectly. We called Parrish and the property manage was able to resolve the problem late on the 3rd day of our stay. Kevin Bukoski, helped and kept us up to date when the air conditioning unit wasn’t working correctly. The only thing I would like to have in rental units is a small supply of cleaning product. i.e. Windex, antibacterial wipes, etc. I would have liked to clean the glass table on the lanai a time or two. Otherwise, this was a wonderful unit that had almost everything we needed! Thank you

Beautiful Condo!

The condo is just lovely. It has a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. The kitchen is well-equipped with cooking equipment, the beds are very comfortable and the linens are soft. The showers have good water pressure. The living room and dining rooms are large and the seating is plentiful. There are very nice beach chairs available in the closet. Everything was very clean and it was a pleasure to stay at the property. A few things to comment on -- the beach is a bit of a walk (about a quarter of a mile). The condo does not have any basic cooking supplies other than salt and pepper. I am used to having a few things -- olive oil, vinegar, spices, etc. -- available at other rentals. There is air conditioning in only one bedroom. It was very hot during our stay (to be fair, it was August…) and the condo got quite warm. The ceiling fans didn’t seem to cool off the rooms because the ceilings are quite high. There are two terrific floor fans, though, so they made sleeping in the second bedroom OK. We also used one of the fans in the living room during the evening. If you are considering this condo, I highly recommend it! Poipu is my favorite spot on Kauai and this is a pleasant property.

Please now that it is a conscious decision not to leave opened food items in the unit for sanitary and health reasons. We are sorry for any inconvenience. In terms of AC, the Board recently approved the addition of a second AC in the unit so we will approach the owner to see if they are interested. We are excited about this new rule and hope we can take full advantage of it at 827 and others at Nihi Kai. Mahalo and a hui hou!

Beautiful Home, Perfect VacationV

I’ve stayed here several times, most recently August 7-21, 2015. The views of Poipu Beach and the South Shore from 827 are stunning. We loved having coffee and breakfast on the lanai before going out to explore. At the end of the day 827 has THE BEST view of sunset, completely stunning. We cooked many of our meals both within the unit and at the nearby grill (if we weren’t at Brenneke’s or Puka Dog, of course). The walk to the pool is short and the landscaping is very pretty. We walked to Poipu Beach most days although parking is easy to find as well. One thing I loved about this unit it is the living space and bedrooms. They are spacious and beautifully decorated. At night the breeze through the rooms is so refreshing… we slept very well! We are also grateful for the spare snorkel gear and fins. There’s always a parking spot out front, too. The unit is peaceful and quiet, perfectly suited for some subtle music to complement the sounds of Kauai. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Paradise!

I love NKV #827! This is the 6th time I’ve vacationed on Kauai, and all 6 times I’ve stayed in NKV #827. Most recently, I stayed there September 3rd -- 18th, 2015. This unit is a spacious corner unit with two lanais, 2 comfy king size beds, a fully equipped kitchen for all cooking needs, plus an AC in the master suite. The cross-breeze from being the corner unit is also a plus. I’ve stayed here before with a party of 2, 4 and 5 guests with plenty of room. I loved being so close to Poipu Beach Park, Brennecke’s (beach and restaurant) and local shopping centers (Poipu Shopping Village, The Shops at Kukui’ula and Old Koloa Town). The views from the lanai of sunrise and sunset are magnificent! Spectacular views of the ocean, coastline and mountains. Meals on the lanai were very nice, too. Walks to the pool and beach were super easy and close. There was also snorkel gear and fins available for us to use. There’s always ample parking right in front of the unit. NKV #827 is clean and comfortable, I really feel at home when I’m there! I will definitely be back soon and can’t wait!

Nihi Kai is Paradise

I stayed in unit 827 for two weeks, and it was luxurious! Two lanais, two bathrooms, two king-size beds, a fold-out couch, washer/dryer, dish washer, fans, small AC, ample parking, 2 BBQ areas, and honestly -- everything you need. Short walk to Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke’s. The pool is so relaxing and beautiful and is right across the street from the ocean. The waves are so beautiful at that location, too. Great place to see the sunset is just across the street by the lava rocks. 5 min drive to Spouting Horn, Poipu Shopping Center (with Keoke’s, Puka Dog, gelato, cute shops), Old Koloa Town (great pizza place, ice cream, more cute shops, also the only place with a deli that actually has Boar’s Head cold cuts) and Kukui’ula Shopping Center (culinary market, Bubba’s Burgers, fancy dining, and trendy shops). The staff at Nihi Kai were also friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back, I easily could have continued living at Nihi Kai.

Excellent!

This is a spacious unit all on one floor. (The majority of units at Nihi Kai are two level with the bedrooms and baths on the lower level) It has spectacular views of the ocean and mountains. The kitchen is well equipped. There is easy access from the parking lot We have stayed in this unit each winter for over ten years -- Jan 9-March 20 this year and will return next winter.

Feels like home

We loved our stay in unit 827. It is an end unit with a lovely ocean view. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the unit is spacious. There is a nice cross draft that flows through the condo, so we found it comfortable without air conditioning. We particularly enjoyed the sunsets and sat out on the lanai for most of our meals. We enjoyed the gardens, which are well maintained, but not the sound of the power tools in the morning.

Loved Nihi Kai #827 - especially the views!

We stayed in Nihi Kai #827 from June 22 -- July 8, 2013. The views from this unit are fantastic! It was clean, comfortable and has a ton of space for our family of 4 (two boys ages 11 & 14). We loved waking up to the views of the Poipu Beach coastline and the sunsets were amazing. The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The beds were extremely comfortable! Since this is an upper floor end unit, the cross breezes kept the condo cool throughout our stay. The walk down to the pool and beach were not bad at all. If you need to drive down, there was always plenty of parking in the lot near the pool. We also walked to Brennecke’s Beach Broiler and Kalapaki Joe’s easily from Nihi Kai. We walked over to the Hyatt along Pe’e Road and this took about 20 minutes. We are definitely considering Nihi Kai #827 for summer 2014.

This was a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

This was our first visit to Hawaii, and Nihi Kai Villas was highly recommended to us by friends who stay there often. We shared Unit 827 with another couple and were all very pleased with the clean, quiet, comfortable accomodations. The views were wonderful, with the large front lanai facing the ocean. Poipu Beach is very close and we walked there several times. We also enjoyed the swimming pool. The outdoor grilling facilities left much to be desired, but this did not significantly affect our enjoyment. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

A great experience

My family had a wonderful stay. Everything was just as portrayed (unlike other condo rentals we experienced on other islands later in the trip…). The apartment was extremely well outfitted and very clean. The arrangements, directions, etc. from Parrish were thorough and timely, and the staff on-site were very helpful. The complex has a number of rules regarding noise and other behavior that we really appreciated; travelers planning to party into the night should look elsewhere. About my only complaint is the washer/dryer, which could stand to be updated to a quieter model. (It was adequate for our purposes, though.)
UPDATE -- the washer and dryer have been replaced by the owner.
