Kauai continues to make excellent progress following Hurricane Lowell. Most accommodations, restaurants, shops, tours, and visitor activities have reopened, and the island is welcoming visitors. While recovery work continues in some communities and some parks and recreational areas remain closed, conditions across Kauai continue to improve.
At Parrish, guest arrivals have resumed across the island. Inspections of all vacation rentals have been completed, and nearly all properties are operating normally, with a limited number of homes remaining unavailable while more extensive repairs are completed.
Guests with upcoming reservations are encouraged to keep their travel plans in place as Kauai’s recovery continues to make excellent progress.
Traveling to Kauai
Most visitor services, restaurants, shops, and activities have resumed operations. Some parks, trails, and recreational areas remain closed or have limited access, and recovery work continues in isolated areas. Visitors should check current conditions before heading out and respect all posted closures and restricted areas.
Before traveling, we recommend:
– Confirming your accommodations and available amenities with Parrish.
– Checking directly with activity providers and restaurants for current hours and availability.
– Following all County guidance, posted closures, and emergency instructions.
– Avoiding restricted areas and active recovery work zones.
– Supporting Kauai’s locally owned restaurants, shops, and activity providers as the island continues its recovery.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as Kauai continues moving forward together.
