Some holes on the Wailua Golf Course are along the ocean. The front nine are flatter with ocean views. Look for more hills on the back nine. Fairways are forgiving and still challenging for all levels with great par 3’s. Pace of play is good with beginners and slower players asked to wait until 10am.
Wailua Golf Course was selected by Golf Digest as one of the top 15 in Hawaii, and by The Golf Channel as the #3 course in our state. It also hosted the USGA Amateur Links Championship in 1975, 1985 and 1996.
Best Rates: Play for half price after 3:00 pm for $24 on weekdays and $30 every weekend. Regular price is $48 weekdays and $60 on weekends and holidays. They also have a weekday pass for visitors that includes 5 rounds of golf for $215. A motorized cart is available for $20. Club rentals range from $20-35.
“Over Par” Snack Bar: Open 6am to 6pm. Breakfast, lunch and snacks plus spirits.
Amenities: Golf shop, restaurant, bar, locker room, showers, driving range, putting green and practice bunker.
Tee Time Reservations: Two or more players can reserve up to 7 days in advance by calling 808-241-6666 (phone line opens at 7am). Single players are stand-by on the day of play.
Golf Lessons: $35 per 1/2 hour for a single individual, with multi-package and group rates available. To schedule, call the Pro Shop between 6am and 5pm daily at 808-241-4111.
