The Parrish Collection Kauai vacation rentals has joined other businesses in supporting the statewide ban on plastic bags in Hawaii. All of their luxury Kauai homes now have reusable bags for guest use including the company’s expansive selection of Kauai condos at the island’s best Kauai resorts. The roomy carryall features reinforced handles for heavier loads and a removable plastic bottom insert that cleans quickly.
Parrish Kauai has created online guides to Kauai beaches and Kauai activities with suggestions on where the carryall can be used. These include Kauai shopping outings at local grocery stores, daily use at Kauai Farmer’s Markets, during beach trips or when hiking on Kauai.

Drop the plastic bag is one of many initiatives sponsored by them for green Kauai vacation rentals. Kauai eliminated plastic bags at retail outlets in 2011 and the following year Hawaii became the first state in the nation to ban their use entirely.

Other initiatives include their membership in the Hawaii Ecotourism Association to promote responsible tourism practices with regard to the environment and Hawaii culture.
