We loved everything about our stay - the location, ease of check-in, parking on site, the grounds with the stream running through. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The bathroom decor was a bit dated but clean. The water pressure was not the best but it was adequate. The space was more than enough foe the four of us. We weren’t getting into each others hair as there was enough room to spread out and have our own personal space. The beds were comfortable. Although there was no AC the fans kept us cool. The week we were there was humid but when the trades returned the fans were more than enough to keep the unit cool. We would definitely stay here again!!

Better then described, especially the kitchen. We had an excellent time with our 5 month and 2,5 years old kids. A babybed would be nice, but you can rent one which is a seamlessly procedure.

The condo was really spacious and very well located, near enough to the parking area and pool to be convenient, but still without any noise. Extremely pleasant trees and other plants outside the windows with lots of singing birds. We even found the local wild chickens (nene) charming. Although the roosters start to crow early in the morning, we had enough sleep and appreciated their wake up "call." Overall a well-equipped, clean, well-managed condo, conveniently located in Poipu/Koloa.

Aloha! Thank you for hosting us! We’ve been going to Po’ipu for 50 years now and this was our first time staying at Waikomo Stream Suites. The unit is really nice, very spacious and the grounds are beautiful. The short walk to Kukui’ula shops and restaurants is very convenient. Walk to the ocean and drive to Po’ipu Beach. The only negative which we forgot to mention was the washing machine was broken. Overall a great option in sunny, beautiful Po’ipu Kaua’i at a very reasonable price. Finally, your staff are amazing, truly great Hawaiian hospitality. Aloha and a hui hou!

A wonderful place for a vacation!

The apartment itself is incredibly spacious, has a kitchen with many of the cooking items that you could need, and the king-size bed is very comfortable. It was so wonderful to have the balcony to sit on during sunsets. The apartment complex is well-maintained, the pool area is very comfortable, and the complex is within walking distance of lots of great shops. We recommend the shave ice place nearby, we’re still craving it one week later. Would happily return.

Condo was as described, surrounded by lush trees. The only thing missing was a knife sharpener, as the knives were full, otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful condo and location - great rental

Great condo complex and beautiful unit. On the third floor so be prepared for stairs. Beautifully furnished. Loved our time there. Details for property manager to consider: zippers not functional on beach chair pouches, clothes dryer latch did not function properly (finally got it to work), and loft bathroom toilet paper holder needs securing/adjustment (I did it myself but not certain it will hold.) Certainly not deal breakers, but things one doesn’t notice until they’re an inconvenience.

L’appartement est très bon et très propre. Petit détail: la piscine ferme beaucoup trop tôt. Pour nous, il a fermé au coucher du soleil, donc à 18 h. Le site est magnifique. Poipu est une destination où il y a beaucoup de touristes. On se sent un peu loin des gens de l’endroit. Je recommande cet endroit pour ceux qui aiment ce type d’emplacement.

The site in Poipu is not what I look for usually on a trip. There is too many tourists. I prefer to be closer to the local people. So it’s not the site itself, but more my own expectation. The pool closes way to early and there is no spa.

Villa #221 well appointed

We recently stayed in number 221 in this nicely laid out condo complex, fortunately it was just before peak season so we had a pretty quiet stay . The villa itself was equipped with everything we needed to have a self contained holiday! Kitchen very well stocked, beach supplies, washer/dryer and the unit itself very spacious for two of us! We enjoyed our stay here in such a relaxing environment.
Couple of cons:
– I have never understood carpet in a seaside rental looks about ready for replacement. Particularly bedroom which has a bit of a musty smell
– there’s no central light in the bedroom so was quite dark in the evening
– bedroom located adjoining car park for neighbouring complex quite noisy in the morning when windows are open
– windows have to be open as no AC making for pretty sweaty nights

Endroit calme, entouré d’un très beau jardin. Situé à 5 minutes de la plage en auto. Pas très loin de différents commerces. Condo très propre, cuisine bien équipée, lit confortable, belle piscine. Nous nous sentions comme chez nous dès notre arrivée.

I can not say enough about how happy we were staying here. The unit itself is clean and well equipped. In the closet by the entrance, we found tonnes of beach gear! Snorkelling sets (about 5), beach chairs and mats, a cooler, sand toys….This stuff came in handy, and saved us from renting it or buying it to use for the week. The reviews I read about the air circulation were 100% correct. The ceiling fans, along with the doors/windows open (screens closed) kept the condo at a perfect temperature. It was a much nicer feel than cranking air conditioning. The bull frogs weren’t a huge problem, but the roosters were! But roosters are a problem on the entire island – so it’s not the condos fault ???? They crow at all hours of the night and day, you do get used to it though. I enjoyed being on the second level, we were just high enough to get a nice view off of the lanai – I wouldn’t have wanted to be on the ground level. Some reviews I read complained about having to carry luggage up stairs, I was picturing like 5 flights from what I had read – it’s only like 12 stairs. The grounds are beautiful! You feel like you’re in your own little garden. Part of the pool area was under construction when we were there, but the pool was still open. We stopped by the pool at some point almost every day, even just for a quick dip after a long walk, it was never too busy – which was nice. Booking was easy, I received a response in a timely manner (through email) and it was a simple phone call, faxing over my signature, and we were good! Since we arrived after office hours, we were given the code to the drop box and our keys were in there waiting for us. The wifi wasn’t working for us at the time. Apparently it was just installed in September 2013. I told them not to worry about it but they may want to check it out at some point. The difficult thing was that free wifi is pretty much non-existent on the island of Kaua’i so if you need access to you email or anything, you may want to double check that it’s working now. The only minor issue we had was that we started to run out of toilet paper on our second last day. When I called to ask for another roll they told me that the toilet paper was a “welcome gift” and we were to purchase any if we needed it. I understand if we were staying a month, but we were only there a week and were not willing to buy a pack of toilet paper for one day! We just used the kleenex! I have rented villas/condos in other places and they have always provided the toilet paper as requested, so this was a surprise to me. But, like I said, minor detail. The location, to me, was perfect. Two minute walk away is this great, I don’t know what to call it, but it’s an area filled with shops, restaurants and an organic grocery store called the “The shops at Kukui’ula”. The restaurants here are amazing, and every place has happy hour specials that start at 3:00pm. At night the entire area is lit by lanterns and tiki torches. There is another grocery store on Poipu Rd, kind of parallel to “The shops”, here there is also a Mexican place called “The Crack” which had unreal burritos! There are a few beaches in walking distance, 5 minutes in either direction. The town of Koloa (soooo cute!) is about an hour walk and is a gorgeous walk (take Ala Kalanikaumaka Street instead of Poipu Rd if you choose to walk. There are no sidewalks on Poipu Rd). The Spouting Horn is also about an hour walk away. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Kaua’i.

The apartment was spacious and quite well equipped. The cross breeze was very nice and the few negative comments are not to take away that it was a good experience. Other than that the carpet needed cleaning and the blankets were musty because they were folded in the closet. Its the nature of a tropical place. Overall very good
Awesome Spot for Kauai vacation

Aloha, If you look for a relaxing and comfortable place for a long stay on Kauai island, this is a place. it’s cozy, tranquil, clean, convenient and near the beautiful Poipu beach. we spent 10 days there and love it, specially the orchids and garden are so beautiful. We will come back to Waikomo, when visit Kauai again. Recommend the take out food from Poipu Grill at the Round abound. or cook out at the Villas with fresh fish from the local truck stand.

Clean & comfortable. Everything we needed was provided down to new sponge and soap for the kitchen, towels, etc. Every kitchen accessory needed was there and when I discovered that the blender didn’t work, I called and mgmt was literally knocking on the door 10 minutes later with a new one! We stayed on the construction side in Bldg #2 and the noise was minimal and didn’t begin until about 7:30 am. (Since most people are coming from a time zone where that feels like 10:30 am or later, it wasn’t an issue). I believe the other side is where the frog noise is prevalant due to the brook running back there and the only noise to really get used to is the roosters, which are everywhere anyway. This was a perfect set-up for 3-4 people with a very comfortable futon located on the opposite side from the bedroom. The location is right off the round-about and it was easy to figure out how to get around. Extremely affordable-we couldn’t have asked for a better deal!

It was perfect vacation home ever!!! This was my Mom’s 60th birthday, so me and my sis wanted to give her something special as a bithday present. The home was really awsome. Huge space, and clean everywhere. We only had 3 adults, but the unit was really spacy that 2 or 3 more guests can fit in. The stuff prepared a bottle of champaine for my Mom. That was really sweet surprised gift, my Mom loved it. I had the unit near the construction area, so I got really good discount. It was only around $100/per night. (Turst me, this unit worth more than $100/per night for sure.) I really enjoyed my stay at Waikomo Stream Villas Unit 221. Love to come back near future. Thanks again to all the stuff of Waikomo Stream Villas.
