Great price for location and for big sized families. They were very well stocked on amenities, more then other Airbnb that we have stayed at. They communicated very well and fixed any problems that we had, very accommodating to check in and check out. We will definitely be staying here for our future trips to Kauai.

Great location

Right on the green belt close to Poipu beach. Very clean and spacious rooms. Well equipped kitchen for cooking. Our family of 7 had a great stay! Management is very responsive.

We stayed here for 6 nights and the space worked pretty well for us (two grandparents, two kids, one uncle, two parents). The fourth bedroom upstairs is not completely private and is open to the downstairs living area, so it doesn't work well for children who go to bed early. We expected this from reviewing the layout available in the listing, but could be missed by some who don't look carefully. The walk down to the beach is enjoyable but is pretty long for little kids. Would have helped to have a wagon for schlepping. There is a lot of beach/snorkeling equipment available there. There are two pools very close to the room. They are basic but we had lots of fun in them. The space was clean and as advertised. Some of the walls and upstairs bath in particular could use some sprucing but everything was in good working order. The host was quick and responsive when we had a problem with the washing machine. Thank you for a lovely family trip!

Lovely place - nice interior and easy to find. My kids found it sad and frustrating that the pools were unheated and the hot tubs explicitly said no kids under 14 with no explanation. There aren’t a ton of walkable food options near by so be prepared to drive to the grocery store but beyond that, the townhome itself was very lovely.

Poipu Stay

We had mixed emotions regarding our stay at Parrish’s place. Pros: The location was excellent. Walking distance to Shipwreck, Brenecke and Poipu beaches. The space was comfortable for our family of seven. Very easy to find and the space was as described. Cons: the kitchen/dining room floor was very dirty. After a gentle scrub on one of the kitchen tiles, a noticeable difference was visible from the other tiles. Our socks would actually turn dirty brown while walking around without shoes. Several stains on the carpet as well. The walls along the stairs also had visible dirty marks along the walls. The appliances were ridiculous. The freezer door was extremely hard to open. This may have been due to the fact that I’ve trays needed to be used for ice, and water had been spilled numerous times along the door track. The dishwasher had to be started and re-started numerous times in order to get the dishes clean. Lastly, the king bed in the master bedroom was horrible. Very unfortunate.

Poipu Condo

Nice comfortable space for our family. Close to the beach. Quiet. Nice to have beach towels provided. Carpet was not in the best condition. Dishwasher needs some repair. The a/c stopped working 2 nights before our departure, a tech came out, but was not able to get it working before we left. Would stay here again.

This Airbnb was amazing, and more spacious than we thought. They thought of everything you would need from towels to dish soap and toys for my baby girl. We had two rentals and one pass I text them and in minutes they got me a second one. I will honestly recommend this Airbnb over and over again and I will use it continuously myself. The house was beautiful. There was plenty of room for our whole family of 8. We walked to the beach every morning to see the turtles catching some z’s and the seal sun bathing. The location was perfect — so much to see on the island and we explored a lot of it.

Good

Overall we had an excellent stay. Location was perfect. The property does need an overhaul. Carpet had stains baseboards were all scratched up lights were dusty. Place was clean , but needs a refreshing. Still, I would recommend.

Ideal location near Poipu beach

Lovely unit with plenty of room for 2 families to spread out. Walking distance from a couple of great beaches. The pools and grounds areas are lovely and well maintained. The view from the unit isn’t great but you don’t have to go far to see the ocean. I would suggest more seating in the dining and living room - sleeps 8 but not set up for 8 in these areas. We appreciated the boogie boards and lawn chairs available, would have also been great to have some selection of kitchen condiments -perhaps a few more spices etc. The management was very responsive to our questions and needs and a couple of urgent requests. we’d definitely stay again! Thank you!

The location is perfect, with only a short 7-10min walk to the beach. The home was super clean and well-stocked. Our family of 8 stayed comfortably in the home. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was amazing. Having beach chairs, coolers, and boogie boards was exactly what we wanted/needed. Our only complaint is the mattresses in the bedroom are super soft and lumpy.

Great stay though a few glitches

We had a great stay at this property overall. The condo was in a perfect location and it was a nice unit. We had an issue with the check-in process. At the last minute we were told we had to delay our check in until 4pm — one hour later than the 3pm check in— because there was a delay in cleaning the unit. I told them I had a toddler and we need access ASAP because we had been on a long trip and she needs to take a nap. 4pm comes by and unit is still not ready. We decide to go to the unit anyway. There was no one inside the unit cleaning so I was surprised about why we couldn’t enter. After 3 phone calls someone finally came to tell us there was a small issue with the sink stopper in one of the bathrooms. I don’t think that issue was such a big deal to delay our check in for over an hour. A few days later, there was an issue with the fire alarm in our bedroom chirping at 2am because the battery needed to be changed and it was way up high in the ceiling so was impossible to reach. They did fix it the next day but it was annoying to have to deal with no sleep and my daughter waking up because of the chirping. The note in the welcome book specifically said there was no reserved parking, but then we got a parking violation because we parked our second car in a reserved spot. Overall management was slow to respond but maybe they are short staffed because of Covid. I would still stay in this property because of the location and the unit was pleasant overall based on the price. We’re pretty low maintenance vacationers but this property is probably not for someone who would like more attention.

I do suggest next time you confirm an early check-in so we can plan ahead of time. I apologize on the crew not having the unit ready on time, we just wanted to confirm there was not an issue with the drain and that required a third party vendor. Given COVID, we are also limiting interactions between our crew, vendors and guests for everyone’s safety. I too apologize on the alarm. That is frustrating, but I see from the notes we got it fixed within hours of your reporting it. On the parking, there is reserved parking for your unit, #821 almost right in front of the unit. Second cars need to be parked in unmarked spots. I do not see any other requests and I see we responded to all your communication throughout your stay. In any event, glad to hear you like the unit and would stay here again. Aloha

Bright, Spacious, Comfy

Our family of 7 stayed in this great unit for 5 nights. It exceeded our expectations for space, with three roomy bedrooms, loft with two twin beds and 3 full bathrooms, great space to gather for games in the living room and open kitchen, dining, living room, terrace. Bright and light with lots of windows and high ceilings. We’re clean freaks and this place was perfectly clean and comfy. Pool is steps away and short picturesque walk to Shipwreck and Poipu Beaches! We highly recommend staying here!

We went to dinner, did zip lining, and ATV rides! We went to the beach and enjoyed the swimming pools. The accommodations fulfilled all of our needs, we all wished it didn’t have to end! Mahalo!!

As advertised

The location was wonderful-an easy walk to the beach and shopping and dining are nearby. If you have school age kids, they’ll love the fourth bedroom which is a loft. My nieces were delighted to have a room they could where the could “spy” on the dining and living room.

Perfect for family of 8

Wonderful place. The condo was so spacious, comfortable and light. The large kitchen had everything you could want. The grounds were beautifully manicured, so colourful and the pathway through to the beaches was easy .There were lovely , scenic areas for walking as running. Would love to stay there again.

Perfect for our family!

The property was perfect for us. Everything was well stocked with nice new things (kitchen, bathrooms, towels, beach toys), and the location was SO convenient. Even with 2 kids under 2, it was an easy walk with the stroller to either Poipu beach or Shipwreck beach, and we loved both. The only thing I would say is that the 4th bedroom being a loft was a little difficult because you can hear everything up there / see every light turned on downstairs, so as soon as our babies woke up (early!) downstairs, our sister in the loft had no hope of sleeping in. But that was no surprise -- the listing clearly told us it was a loft. Lots of beach chairs, toys, and towels we made use of. The property was truly exactly what we were hoping for! And the management company was so friendly and easy to work with. Word to the wise -- our checkin instructions were to pickup the keys at the office in town, and we didn’t pull that up until we had already driven all the way to the property, so had to back track a few miles. That’s totally on us for not planning ahead, but just wanted to include the heads up so others don’t do what we did. But yes, we loved everything about our stay -- 5 stars!

Great location!

This is totally on me, but I didn’t download the app to read checkin instructions til I had already driven to the property, and had to backtrack a few miles to the office to pick up the keys. If there’s anyway to broadcast that detail more loudly in the welcome email itself, it would help out dummies like me! Found you on HomeAway, but wish I could have somehow known I could have booked through you directly and avoided homeaway’s fee! Oh well. :). One thing I forgot to mention at checkout -- 2 of the beach chairs seem to be slightly broken. One of them the rod holding the backrest is broken, and the other may not be broken but we just had a lot of trouble folding and unfolding it, like something was sticking. Just wanted to let you know! Other than the little things above, everything was perfect!!

Great space for group getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this property! Very close to the beach. We liked that this location was basically equidistant to all the places we wanted to explore (Waimea and North Shore). There were 2 couples and 6 singles in our party, and this place had a bed for everyone and was in our price range. The place looks exactly like the pictures. A huge bonus was that this place came stocked with more than enough supplies (i.e. toilet paper, detergent) for our entire group and stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable and convenient

The beautiful, spacious condo was very comfortable for 7 adults. The pool in the complex was a nice break from the salt and sand at the beach. The location was close to the beach, Koloa Town and about 20 minutes from the airport.

Great location, price, amount of bedrooms

We didn’t realize the upstairs queen room had no windows other than the skylights, and that you had to walk through the loft area to get to it. That would have been ice to know ahead of time.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo had plenty of room for our two families of four. We really appreciated the beach toys, chairs and umbrellas that were provided. We also made use of the barbecues several nights. One of the barbecues was right next to the pool, so we all had supper down there one night, and the kids could swim while we cooked/visited. The location of this property is also excellent. Just a 5-minute walk to a great beach for kids, and many shops and restaurants within walking distance as well. The kitchen items could use some updating. Plates, bowels and glasses were all fine, but knives were all extremely dull/ poor quality, and pans were also worn out/low quality. The hand mixer did not work. We did not use any of the other small appliances, besides the coffee maker (which worked fine). It was a nice touch that there was ice made in the freezer when we got there, and a welcome package of coffee for the morning, as we arrived much to late to pick up groceries. There were also a few other minor cleaning/maintenance issues. For example, two of the sinks were clogged, and there was laundry left in the dryer from the previous tenant. The air conditioning worked well. The concierge helped us choose some activities during our stay, and we were very happy with all of the suggestions. Overall we had a fantastic time, and would definitely return.

Wonderful location

The condo was fantastic! Great location. We walked to the beach every morning and evening for sunrise and sunset through gorgeous gardens. We would definitely stay here again. No problems whatsoever.

920 is Best Stocked Unit We’ve Ever Stayed In

Had our first family reunion at this resort. Ended up getting two four bedroom units across from each other on the 2nd floor and one two bedroom 1st floor unit in the same building. Each unit was furnished according to the owner’s preferences. My wife and I stayed in 4 BR unit 920, which was the best and set a new standard for us. Central Air. This is rare in Poipu. Ours worked flawlessly and had to be turned UP because the upstairs got too cold. Beach: Tommy Bahama beach chairs, more fins, masks and snorkels than we cared to count, boogie boards, beach umbrella, kids’ sand toys, noodles, huge cooler, large thick beach towels and folding cart with wheels to transport gear to Poipu Beach. Kitchen: Full size fridge with zero degree freezer, convection microwave, Instant Pot, blender. Stove had 5 burners and a double oven, but tended to take awhile to get hot. There are propane grills at the pools too. Full size washer and dryer. We were warned that only starter supplies of detergents, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, TP would be provided. However, there ample supplies of everything and even more Zip lock bags, Saran Wrap, spices, … ). There are signs of wear, as units have been around awhile. And router needed to be reset several times. And stove was slow to heat up. In short, unit 920 was the best stocked unit we’ve ever stayed in.

Casey was great. Loved the flowers in the Unit! Maybe add salt & pepper to the small bag of coffee to your hospitality kit? Good explanations of accommodation ratings- helpful in adjusting expectations. Our unit was a bit confusing -Regency #821- as it was marketing this past year as a 4 Bedroom (3 enclosed plus Loft) which we rented, but recently it is listed as a 3 bedroom, 6 people max. It clearly has the capacity for 8 (1K,1Q, 2 sets of twin convertible beds), so not sure why the change on the website? Also would love to know from website which properties have heated pools? All of the pools here were freezing! Only 4 bedroom that was air conditioned at a reasonable rate during the holidays. We saw this unit on several websites but felt the reputation of your company was much better. I can guarantee you that if you encourage your clients to lift the 2 week holiday minimum to 1 one week, you will have all your units rented. We will definitely consider renting other properties from Parrish but not during the holiday season again, which was very challenging.

We do list those pools with heated pools…please just check the Resort Features. In terms of the minimum stay, our condos all have a 7-night minimum during the holidays and will take less than 14-nights on certain occasions where the holiday period is partially booked. The rental had a lot of space, the layout was great, and the fact that it had AC was amazing!

It was extremely easy for us to find our keys and parking permit, etc. The staff was very accommodating. The only minor issue was having to drive 20 minutes (round trip) from the property location to pick up these items. It would be great if there was an on-site lock box available.

Unit was in good condition in a convenient location.

Really appreciated that reservation staff were willing to offer a discount based on the length of our stay. We discovered on arrival that two of the bodyboards in the closet were broken, so we disposed of them. We also reported that our daughter accidentally broke one of the plastic holders for the t-bar in the window in the entry area. We reported both of these on departure when we dropped off the keys. Nice place

Location, excellent A/C, worked well for 8 people. Very pleasant for sleeping at night, easy access to beaches and pools. lovely landscaping. Patty kept her cool during a very trying experience with her computer on a Sunday when she was trying to print a parking pass for us.

I think next time I would prefer to be slightly closer to the gardens or beach area -- however the condo was very nice. A description of the “view” available with each respective rental unit would be helpful. For example had we known we had a parking lot view we may have considered a different unit just for aesthetics. Child locked us out of the safe and also out of the upstairs bathroom. Property manager and staff at the office all very friendly, helpful and responsive!!

Location, location, location

plus you were able to provide accommodations for all of my family, plus rent for just one week during the Holiday season. (We already own elsewhere on the island and we wanted to spend the last week in Poipu and you were able to a rent for the one week. Carol responded immediately and had someone come out and try to repair the toilet. She gave me some bumper pads to try to protect the granite counter and the refrigerator door from bumping together. The other listed items were not dampening our stay so I waited until check out to notify your office.

I would like to thank Cynthia for just going the extra effort and making sure we could check-in earlier. The rental was very comfortable. I especially liked the treatment we received from the staff (very friendly), except for that one instance. Unfortunately cannot remember the woman who helped us with our items that we left behind. She was very accommodating with sending us our items. Awesome person!

Nice place

Price is a little steep for being a distance from the beach but overall it was a great place to stay at. Limited cookware, glasses, etc. Would be nice if condiments were left for next tenents so one does not have to purchase ketchup etc.

Perfect

Most of my communication was via email, which worked out absolutely fine. Only once did I speak to someone on the phone and she was very helpful and professional. I loved our unit. It was spacious, very clean and equipped with all the comforts and necessities of home. Everything was perfect, including all the appliances. We had no issues with our unit, but felt assured that if we encountered any problems, they would have been taken care of immediately. I will definitely recommend the Parrish Collection to friends and families visiting Kauai. I already emailed Parrish Collection via email to inquire about other properties for next year.

Overall complex was nice

Friends and family usually look for much cheaper accommodations. The noise from the hub of electric units below the Windows should be noted . Wasn’t terribly annoying But a few nights it was really noticeable while sleeping. If people have in the AC it is a non issue. Requested a rice cooker and more trash bags all taken care if Promptly

The Best

Please book at the Parrish collection for regency 821 at Poipu Kai to get the best unit and service. The unit was very clean and very responsive service. Unit is updated and close to beaches and shopping.Remember regency units have different management companies, do your home work. In my opinion The Parrish collection is by far the best. The lower units tend to be noisier so I would always pick an upstairs unit. They can be rented as a 2,3,4 bedroom. Also please remember if you are in a upper unit be respectful of the people below you.

Above Average!

Clean and electronically wired (wi-fi and TV access) but should have a bigger swimming pool. Poipu Kai should plan for a bigger pool area. Thank you and see you next time.

It was perfect

I arranged this stay for a wish family (I work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oegon). The family had nothing but positive things to say about the trip, the stay, the condo, everything was perfect. Perfect stay for our family of 9

The condo at Regency at Poipu Kai was perfect for our first family trip to Hawaii. Everyone had a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a great living room to just hang out. The kitchen’s granite counter was the hub for most of the family. While my sister and I were cooking breakfast and dinner, the kids and our mother were sitting around the counter chatting and taking pictures. The unit was a short walk to Brennecke Beach with the best water for boogie boarding. At night, we would walk to the beach and star gaze. The two pools were great for the kids. The nearby Poipu Village “mall” offered free Polynesian dance performances so that was a great treat for the family. Overall, we love staying in the unit and would highly recommend it.

Comfortable, good location, air conditioned.

There were 6 of us, a senior couple, a middle- aged couple and their 13-year old twins. Our first requirement was air conditioning, hard to get in 3-4 bedroom units or houses anywhere in Hawaii. We needed a minimum of 3 bedrooms, preferably 4, also hard to get. The unit is very nice, the only thing noted was insufficient seating in the living area for 6, definitely would not be enough for eight. The kitchen utensils were somewhat sparse, but we did very little cooking so it was all right. This rental met our expectations. We had been in a rented air conditioned house in Hanalei before coming to this resort, so we had a chance to explore both the North Shore and the South Shore without driving back and forth.

We had a great vacation for 8 at Poipu Kai Regency Resort.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would have liked a little more explanations as to how to get into the pool area (had difficulty with the keys) and where to take the trash. Also we weren’t sure if we were supposed to clean dishes, linens, etc. Just more communication would be better.
