Lovely large condo with great view in Poipu
Great quiet location. Top floor gave us a sweeping view down to the sea. Loved the oversized lanai and bathrooms. There was plenty of space for us. Comfortable beds, lots of beach stuff in the closet, fully equipped kitchen. No AC, but nice cross breezes to cool us down. lovely place.
Get rid of the mice
we loved the location and lay-out of this condo, however….our first day we found droppings under the sink. I hoped they were from a gecko but a few days later a mouse ran across the living room.It took many phone calls to the Parrish office before I found someone who could actually deal with the problem.I insisted on moving to another property which we couldn’t do until the following day. Meanwhile the maintenance people put down these dreadful glue traps which trapped the mice and just let them stuck there to die at leisure. It was a horrible experience.Spoiled my vacation.
Aloha Thea. Mahalo for staying with us and sharing your feedback regarding your stay at Poipu Sands #334. We understand it is upsetting to have a mouse in your unit during a vacation. Once you reported this to us, we tried to contact the exterminator right away, but it was a Saturday. The earliest they could come would have been the following Monday. You asked us to work on relocating you and while we worked on that, you also requested that we place traps in the unit. While this is not standard practice, we added the traps because you were quite upset and asked us to do so. When a mouse was caught we sent someone as soon as possible to retrieve the trap. While none of this excuses the fact that there was a mouse in the unit, we did everything you requested and worked to get you relocated as quickly as possible. We have been working with the Poipu Kai association to further inspect and remedy the situation. We are sorry about the disruption that this caused during your stay. When the time is right, we hope to host you again soon. Aloha and a hui hou.

We had problems understanding how to get the tv to work. The washer wasn’t working correctly and management knew that (they were waiting for a part) but didn’t alert us to that.

We’re issues resolved from prior reviews
We are looking to rent this next year. A couple things caught my interest from prior reviews.
Have the ceiling fans been replaced ?
Does the master a Bedroom shears been replaced. The last review mentioned Lights were
Coming into the window and he couldn’t get a good nights sleep.
Wendy, the sheer curtains weren’t replaced the last time we stayed there. They told us they would be, but even if they were new curtains, they still let in the same amount of light. We also had rats (yuck!) during that stay (January 2019). We told Parrish when we checked out and they seemed disinterested. It was a real disappointment for us, because this unit had come to feel like home over the years. But the owners failed to invest in upkeep.

Great location, property and view.
The villa was spacious and well equipped. Beautiful ocean views. Be warned that you must carry your luggage to the third floor -- might be hard for some people. The pool is amazing but there is no hot tub on property. You have to take a car to another pool with a hot tub which is about a five minute drive. We didn’t bother and would have enjoyed having a hot tub on property for after long hikes. There is a ocean trail which starts at the property which is amazing. Highly recommend!

Nice condo and enjoyed our stay but in Oct it was quite muggy and there is no AC. After a long day of travel we arrived in a very hot condo. We had to leave the floor fans going all night with sliders open, but that lets the light in the master bedroom from all the condos next door. Could def use new ceiling fans that can go faster as the ones they have very old ones and are only ran at slow mode which really doesn’t help. The guest bedroom has cooler breezes from the front of the condo. Nice kitchen and roomy bathrooms that were redone. Other areas def show their age. Sliders def need WD40 as its very hard to open and close them. Nice views of ocean and you can hear the waves. The rental company was very accommodating when we needed the twins made into a king . Great area to walk to diff beaches and nice trails. For the price, its a good deal as long as you don’t mind being a bit warm when you are sleeping. Glad we had the top floor so we could leave the sliders open and luckily they have screens. ..loved the sectional vs the standard hard wicker couches other units have. Used the the equip in the closet. Great stay and would recom it.
Mahalo Susan for your kind review and comments. We will be sure to check the fan and sliders to ensure all is in working order. We are glad we got to host you and look forward to hosting you again soon. Aloha and a hui hou.

We spent 10 days and enjoyed our time. The condo was nice and the grounds were very well maintained. The outdoor Bbq is great for those aren’t I to eating out every night. The condo is a three minute drive to Poipu beach and several restaurants, a golf course and coffee shops. 4/5
Fully stocked two bedroom ocean view condo
This two bedroom condo was more then advertised. Fully stocked kitchen for those who like to cook including sharp knives. Clean and well laid out. Large bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. More than the usual amount of tp, laundry soap and paper towels. Large lanai, outside dining and two comfy loungers with very nice ocean view. Lot of beach items, including coolers so check closet out before you rent. Pool was larger and quieter than expected. The only thing we felt was lacking were chairs and table around the communual BBQ’s that faced the ocean. The other bbq area had chairs and table, but branches need to be trimmed over the table area (and there is no ocean view from this area). This I believe is the responsiblity of the whole complex and not a crititisim of the unit itself. Would rebook.

Spacious, Ocean View
We loved our stay in Poipu Sands #334! Exactly as advertised- 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (both en suite making 2 master bedrooms if you ask the twin beds to be set up as a king). Great lanai for outdoor meals with an ocean view. Fully stocked kitchen- pots and pans, etc. Washer/dryer in unit which we used almost every day. Lots of beach gear left behind by prior guests- beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, coolers, etc. Living area was surprisingly spacious and open. Only downside is no a/c, but we knew this going into it. There are ceiling fans and plenty of other fans for circulation. Also the cross breeze is great when you leave the doors/windows open. Walking distance to Shipwreck Beach, short drive (or longer walk) to Poipu Beach. Plenty of great restaurants a short drive away. There isn’t a lot within walking distance, definitely need a car to get around the island. However, you can walk to Little Fish Coffee (about 1 mile) for delicious and quick(ish) coffee and breakfast (acai bowls, smoothies, sandwiches, etc.) or head over to the Hyatt for Starbucks in the morning if that’s what you like. We enjoyed staying on the south side. It’s about an hour to the north/Hanalei, and it’s about an hour to Waimea Canyon. Overall, great trip!
Mahalo George for the 5-stars and comments. Glad you had a great trip and we look forward to seeing you again soon. A hui hou.
Great condo in a perfect location
We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

Top vote for a top unit!
This is a very large unit with plenty of space to move around, cook, eat and enjoy. Both bedrooms were spacious and each had it’s own bath. The kitchen was well-equipped with the eating bar open to the dining room and the lanai view. We enjoyed time on the lanai with its warm breeze and view of Shipwreck Beach. This unit is definitely in the “must do again” category! April 20, 2018
Mahalo Phyllis for the 5-star review, comment and specifically the “must-do again”. We look forward to it. Aloha!
Perfect Beach Location, Ocean Views, Beautiful Condo
We spent a week in Kauai, 3 senior gals. The condo #334 is gorgeous, and has a beautiful ocean view from the full length deck off the living room and master bedroom. Close to 3 beaches, and the Grand Hyatt, walking trails right on the property, heated swimming pool. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful property, well-maintained. Stocked with beach equipment -- snorkels, boogie boards, ice chests, chairs, EVERYTHING! Kitchen fully stocked as well. We didn’t have much sunshine that week (sad) but everything else was perfect. MOST OF ALL, DEO and CRYSTAL AT THE PARRISH OFFICE WERE SO NICE and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend Parrish Properties to provide a professional experience, and a beautiful property.

We stayed for 6 nights and loved the property. It has everything you could need, not only in the kitchen but also in beach supplies. Great location. Very comfortable. We had an issue with the kitchen faucet and it was resolved immediately. We would stay here again.

Great view, great value
We’ve stayed in this condo three times, so obviously we like it! It’s updated and comfortable, and has a lovely view. Plus: you can hear the waves while you sleep. So great. Even though there are a few small places where some TLC is needed, it’s a really good value for the Poipu Sands complex. The master suite is roomy, and there’s a lot of square footage for a condo. The kitchen is well stocked, except for this one weird exception on our most recent stay: there were only four coffee mugs. In the past, there have been several, so I don’t know if people have stolen and broken most of them in the last year. Whatever—so we had to re-wash our coffee mugs daily. Not a big deal, just a strange little thing. Thankfully, two new beach chairs have been provided, because the ones there before were broken (The beach umbrella currently in the closet is also broken, but since I informed Parish, I’m guessing they’ll replace it). The WiFi was super dependable while we were there, which can be a challenge while traveling. Nice. The only issue for us is that in the master bedroom, there are only sheer curtains on the slider. The lights from the complex across the lawn shine in all night. If you’re a sound sleeper, this won’t make a bit of difference. I didn’t get a good night’s sleep on our last trip because of this, and am therefore not sure we’d book this condo for a fourth time. But that aside, I recommend it for its price-point.
