Easy check in process and great communication throughout the stay.

The stay regrettably turned out to be the worst vacation experience I've ever had. My daughter and I planned the trip to celebrate a birthday. On June 2, 21 days before arrival, I received an e-mail from property management company indicating that the unit's "lanai door is coming apart" but that it "can still be used" and apparently could not be repaired in the intervening 3 weeks. When we arrived, we learned that the door was actually in the bedroom and completely inoperable, meaning that a bedroom without AC in late June would have no outside airflow at night other than through an adjoining window. In my first two nights there, it was extremely warm, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, I was being bitten by insects, and I slept about 4 hours each night. I raised this with property management, which sent someone out on the third day to check bedroom. They found no sign of bed bugs, but did note that "the lanai screen window should be rescreened as it is not flush and bugs/mosquitoes may be getting in." They could not do the repair that day, but said it would be done next day and they'd notify me of ETA of repair. Because I had gotten extremely poor sleep the prior two nights on a much-needed vacation, I found an alternative place for us to stay until repair was completed, not easy or cheap in Kauai in mid-summer. The screen was never repaired (despite attempts for status updates), and we did not use the unit the last 5 nights. No partial refund (or apology) offered.

We enjoyed our time on Kaua’i in this condo. It was clean and well supplied. We appreciated the beach chairs and beach towels. Kitchen worked great for us to prepare some of our meals. Check in was easy though the front door took a little figuring out as it stuck a little, but this was not a big deal and we got in without any other trouble or needing to contact host. The host was proactive about reaching out to see if we had questions or needs, they were helpful in giving us suggestions about how to spend our last day as we had a late flight out of the island.

Overall we had a great stay. We were given exactly 4 towels for 4 people. A couple of extra would have been nice. Unit comes with beach chairs and boogie boards, but they are all clearly well-loved. They were mostly functional but better than renting. Appreciated the drying rack. Kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, but no spices. No AC, which we were aware of but this was not an issue for our Feb trip. We would stay here again!

Very nice and well equipped right down to shampoo, body wash and lotion. View and furnishings were awesome. Very relaxing.

We loved the morning sunrise viewed from the deck. The condo was very roomy and deck was furnished to accommodate everyone. I worry being without a/c but the fans and breeze made it comfortable.

The condo was spacious for our family of 4. It was clean, well stocked and nice and breezy. The pool was a close walk and so many beautiful walking trails nearby. Poipu beach is also super close and we saw turtles and monk seals resting there. The property management company was responsive and texted us frequently to make sure check in and check out process was smooth. Will recommend to friends and family in the future! Mahalo!

The place was well laid out and very clean on arrival. Great views and ocean breezes so that even without AC - you were just fine.

This condo was clean and just walking distance to the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans and even Tupperware. It doesn’t have many spices but I bought some and left it there for the next guests. They also provided us with beach equipment. The washer & dryer was a plus. Also the condo might get stuffy as it has no A/C but it takes a couple days to get adjusted. ( I’m from Az/dry heat so I’m used to A/C) Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay. We’ll hopefully be back soon. Mahalo!

Our family of four had a wonderful time in Kauai, and the condo was a perfect home base. The location is central to the beaches of Poipu, and the gorgeous pool was right in front of our unit. Huge balcony was perfect for sunrise yoga with a view of the ocean. We had everything we needed, and check-in/check-out process was seamless. We’ll definitely be back!!

The location, size of the condo and amenities were first class. The time at Poipu Sands will never be forgotten.

Great condo in a perfect location. The condo was just as described in the listing and looked just like the photos. The condo has a great setup since its a smaller complex so its not over-run with guests. The lawn and landscaping is very well kept. Pretty much every condo looks out to the ocean.
