5 days in Poipu
Overall our stay was amazing!! Communication with the property agents was on point everything since I landed was done via text message and someone always responded in a timely manner. Although the property did not have air conditioning there was a ton of fans that kept us cool. Although majority of the time we were out and about, the time we did spend at the property was amazing

Great location
Was a little hard to find exact condo in the dark, but we managed fine. Condo has amazing views of ocean, and especially sunsets! Very close walk down to beach and turtle watching. Close to everything we had planned to do! Also close to several restraunts we loved. The one and only drawback was it could use air conditioning. Very warm in late afternoons until the sun set. But with many windows, screens and fans it did cool off after sunset. All in all a very nice place to stay.

From reservation to check out, everything about our stay was perfect. We had three units to enjoy a family vacation with kids and grandkids. We gathered for dinners each night with beautiful views of Poipu. Beds were comfortable and we loved that both bedrooms were en-suite. The grounds are well kept, parking convenient. We are already trying to figure when we can return!

Great location- needs AC
The property hasn’t been updated other than TV and internet. Great location but it needs air conditioning and I’m heat tolerant.

Great location and nice view.
Very well equipped condo. All the comforts of home. When the lanai sunshade failed to retract a simple phone call resulted in its being replaced by a new one the same day.

The unit is definitely showing its age but it was clean and comfortable. Great location. Beautiful grounds. Disappointed not knowing ahead about the construction and having the pool closed. Very disappointed that we had to self-quarantine and many things were still not up and running or at limited capacity. We don’t recall being made aware of this before hand.

Poipu views!
Great location and lovely unit that had all the beach gear for us to borrow while there. I was a little worried after reading reviews of other units in the complex said that units weren’t all nice (they differ since they owners differ) and the property managers weren’t helpful, but we had a great experience overall.

First time to Poipu, Kauai. We enjoyed the relaxed feel of the island although weather was average.
???? Spacious apartment & great to have 2 bathrooms.
???? The apartment has ceiling fans but no air-conditioning. I imagine it would be a bit uncomfortable in the warmer seasons.

Amazing!!
???? we loved the affordable spacious apartment for our family! Washer and dryer was awesome! We loved being near Poipu Beach!!!
???? The pillows were all very flat. And even though the fridge was empty when we got there something was stinky every time we open and closed the door:/ The entire week.

Thank you for the lovely stay in Kauai!
The condo was nice and we liked the lovely view from building #8, condo 822. But somehow during reservations we did not notice that there was “no AC”! It was extremely HOT several days of our stay making it uncomfortable. Those days we had little breeze-it was quite calm. Would make sure next time to rent a condo with AC. We have stayed at many rental homes and condo’s. This one had the fewest items in the kitchen. No spice or spare stables, no saran wrap or foil, no baggies, no plastic ware for helping pack lunches. The home was well furnished with linens. We appreciated the beach chairs and ice box/cooler.

Die Aussicht, der nahegelege Strand, die Ruhe und Sonnenuntergänge waren einmalig.
???? Die Aussicht war einmalig. Die Küche war soweit gut eingerichtet.
???? Die Wohnung war mit einem “dicken” Teppich ausgestattet. Bei dieser Hitz war das nicht so angenehm, auch aus hygienischer Sicht war das nicht so ideal, zudem wir uns im Haus barfuss zu bewegen hatten. Die Temperaturen waren um die 35 Grad, da wären klimatisierte Schlafzimmer von Vorteil.

The property is very well kept. However, it was hard to sleep due to it being so hot.
So hot! No AC! Very hard to sleep at night waking up soaked in sweat. We tried everything to take advantage of any breeze. Our small temp control AC fan had a frayed wire. First day it was “fixed” when you removed from room and never returned it. Miserable due to too hot. Pretty but would not stay again due to this. Ugh!

Not horrible and not amazing
This place is totally adequate. There’s no huge fault and nothing outstanding either. Some notes, both positive and negative: -The unit is super spacious. The size of the unit is definitely a huge plus -While I understand the grounds are a lot to maintain: someone was weed whacking, mowing the lawn or some other form of loud yard work BY 9am. That being said: the landscape is well maintained. -The lanai is lovely and there is a distant view of the ocean but don’t be mistaken- you’re not ocean front and cannot hear the sound of the waves in this unit -The screen doors to the lanais are constantly coming off the tracks -We had loud and rude upstairs neighbors -- no fault, of course, of the management. But the amount we could hear them (full conversation and laughter) may indicate thin walls? -The amount of warnings around the unit warning about leaving sand or red dirt around lest you be charged is overkill -The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and dishes -There is no AC. Some dirty fans are available to push around the hot and sticky air but they only take the edge off -The location is great for beach and main road proximit

Great view, super close to beaches, priced well.
We loved this condo. It was very close to the beaches and ever night was a great view of south Kauai. Price was resonable. There was no a/c but once windows were open the place remained cool even during the warmest July days.
Loved the View
We enjoyed our stay. We were two couples, so we appreciated, each of us having our own bedroom, bath, and tv in each room. The laundry made our month stay much more enjoyable. The lanai with the view and breeze turned out to be our favorite spot. The condo had most everything we needed for casual living.
Little bit disappointed
Poipu is the best, but the room was mediocre. dated and no AC. mattress was not comfortable, but the location was great.

Relaxing and lovely
???? The condo was lovely with an amazing view of the ocean. Very quiet and not too far from the beach. The kitchen had all the utensils and pans we needed for cooking. We appreciated that the condo included beach chairs, snorkel gear, cooler and a beach umbrella.
???? The beds were a but harder than we’d prefer.

???? The condo was like home. Beautifully done and had everything we needed. Walking distance to Poipu beach. Nice pool area too. Parking lot was large and no assigned spaces so made it easy. Bbq in parking lot. The gardens we’re so pretty with walk paths through out the complex and tennis courts on property. This unit had a front and back deck and we used both. The front can get hot during the day and the back had a nice breeze.
???? Only down side is there isn’t any air conditioning and that made it a bit hard to sleep. There were lots of fans available in the condo and we used all of them so we could be comfortable at night. Be sure and close the wood shutters and drapes during the day on the ocean side, it really helps keep it cooler!

You will not be disappointed in this killer views condo
No need to look any further for a condo-reserve #822 while you can. Friend & I are research fanatics & spent oodles of time looking for just the right place for our vacation & were extremely pleased with our decision. From the moment we walked in the door till the day we checked out we had no complaints. Not only was the condo even bigger & better than expected, with plenty of privacy with our own bedrooms & bathrooms, we also needed some things throughout our stay & the Parrish rentals staff members we dealt with were all very friendly & accommodating. We will look no further & plan on staying at this same rental for our next visit. Clean, well furnished, with comfy beds & a great location. One of the most pleasant surprises was the fantastic views of not only the ocean, but the mountains & the beautiful Nihi Kai Villas property in the foreground. Watching the sunset from the ocean facing lanai or relaxing on the front lanai if the breezes were coming from that direction was a great option. Nothing but positives to say about this place!
You can't beat this place
All the units we have stayed in are nicely furnished. The grounds are always immaculate. We always get the two bedroom so we have two bathrooms. The counters in the second bathroom is too lo, though and the lighting in both of thme in all the units is very poor. Also, the owners all need to invest in some decent sheets. They are thin and not very crispy. Otherwise, they have aeverything you would need and the location is perfect. Good parking, too. Friendly staff. We have stayed at Nihi Kai the last 13 straight years and love it there!

Enjoyed stay
We spent 11 wonderful days on Kauai, and our condo was perfectly situated for walking access to the beach, shops and restaurants. We had an excellent view from the lanai -- ocean and whales to the south and rainbows to the north. The staff was quite concerned about our safety during the tsunami warning, but we felt secure being a ways above sea level. The condo was well furnished and we generally had a nice breeze blowing through. The only thing I would change on the premises is the carpeting -- it was in great condition and clean but think tile or wood floors would’ve been nice. We did enjoy using the pool and barbequing facilities, and found the landscaping crew to be polite and friendly. All in all a great stay!

Paradise
Our dream is to bring our family to Kauai every year where we like to stay, finances permitting, in Hanalei for a week and Poipu for a week. The only place we like in Poipu is our Nihi Kai. We love the superb location, we love the helpful staff, and we love the beautiful well-maintained grounds. We are no strangers to Kauai, having come over since the early ’80s and bar none, the Nihi Kai feels like an old friend. I doubt we would go anywhere else.

Great ratio comfort/price, large unit and an fabulous view
Unit 822 is excellent for a family of four (more people could be accomodated thru the living room sofa bed). Clean unit, fabulous view to the ocean and sunsets, walking distance to Poipu beach park (really! our kids are 6 & 7 and it was an easy half-mile walk). Friendly & helpful staff, part of our enjoyment of our trip to Kauai is related to staying at Nihi Kai.

The Nihi Kai Villa #822 was fabulous. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for my husband and I and our 15 yr old son to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The kitchen could not have been better equipped and just knowing we could do laundry at night in our condo, eliminated the need to stress about higher checked baggage fees at the airlines. It was so nice to have beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs and even a cooler right there. I could not have dreamed of a more perfect home away from home. The fan in the bathroom went out while we were there and the maintenance crew took care of our needs and were on top of it immediately. Again, I would like to consider #822 our home away from home every time we are in HI!.

Nice Condo for a great relaxing vacation
This is our 3rd time staying at the Nihi Kia Villas, this was the best of the 3 condos. Although a bit further from the pool and beach, the view and the fact that it had boogie boards, beach chairs etc made it easy to come and just enjoy. A very nice place to stay!
