Kilohana at Poipu

What a place! The most well-appointed kitchen of all rental homes in my experience. Outdoor grill area by the pool was top notch! Bedrooms were very comfortable, privacy throughout the property despite being located in a neighborhood. This would be the home I'd want to live in if I lived on Kauai. Mahalo!

We loved this house!! Everyone enjoyed the pool and with 3 beds and baths we all had plenty of room. The house is close to a Poipu Beach and many other Kauai sites. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We enjoyed our 10 day visit very much. The location is a bit out of town, so we drove rather than walked to the beach, dinners out, etc. Being in a quiet area was peaceful in the evenings though and we loved having the heated pool. The house is very well furnished and equipped with almost everything a guest could want. We recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker for music.

I'll start out by saying that we really loved the home itself. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. And we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor internal courtyard with pool as it was very private. The only reason I am giving 4 stars overall and not 5 is that it's not particularly quiet - at least not for the next several months as there is a construction project and noise most of day + you can hear neighbors a lot (music from outdoor stereo next door). Even though we were out most of the day, one reason we chose this house with a pool was so we could come back after beach or hikes and relax by pool. (The pool is awesome.) We feel that the construction issue should have been disclosed; the noise wasn't awful, but it was like a perpetual drone in the background. Otherwise, the house is great. And having the separate guest suite was great for our son and his girlfriend to have their own little getaway within the "compound." Parrish was pretty good, but some of the house instructions weren't super clear and they didn't seem to know a lot of specifics about the house. - for example that the house actually did have plenty of beach equipment - chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear (which I had asked about, but they didn't seem to know). We would highly recommend this house unless you want something really tranquil.

Family of 5 enjoyed this home especially the pool patio and grill. Excellent AC in all rooms. Beach stuff added additional benefits.

We really liked this house. 6 of us were staying here. We loved the proximity to beaches, poipu, shipwreck, etc.. And for golfers, even better as we were situated on a golf course. One comment is that there really isnt any outdoor dinning table or chairs, which was a downer. Other than that lots of beach chairs, umbrella, snorkling gear etc. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a fabulous time and the property is amazing. Mark and Kristi were fantastic hosts. Well appointed home and lovely relaxing pool. Our adolescent son stayed in the Ohana suite which was a nice separate space for him, but would be great for extended family wishing to share the home, while enjoying some privacy. Wish we could have stayed for a month! Would absolutely rent this home again! We have rented in several different locations in Kauai and this is one of the very best.

Our group consisted of my husband, myself, our daughter and her husband and our 11 year old grandson. As the pandemic played out and before we actually made it to Kauai, we searched FIVE different times for a home. Finally clearing the covid requirements, we made it to Kauai on the fifth trip and we feel we hit the jackpot with this home and it's owners!! From the beginning, the owners said they would work with us should covid and the governor shut the island down. That was a huge relief and just the beginning of how easy they were to work with. This home was perfect for us! With one of the three bedrooms and a full bath separate (but just a few steps from the main house), our daughter and son in law had their privacy while my husband and I had ours and our grandson had his own room away from his parents and with his grandparents (what kid could ask for more?). Everything we needed to feel at home was waiting for us. Although a property manager was named and a phone number provided, we never had need to call for help. The home is just off the golf course in a very nice and safe neighborhood. The pool is located in a fully fenced area with plenty of outdoor seating. Many of the nine evenings we were there were spent by the pool watching the stars. We were especially appreciative of the beach chairs, body boards, sand toys and ice chests provided to us at no extra cost by the owners. Rental or purchasing these things on the island is not a cheap expense. We highly recommend this house and are grateful we were able to enjoy it.

We all loved it!!! The house was amazing and fit our needs perfectly. We were 3 couples and stayed for a week. The room setup felt very private…we were not on top of each other. The living space was very accommodating and comfortable. We wanted for nothing Mark and Kristi thought of everything. The pool was so nice to come home to after fun adventures on the island. We highly recommend this property if you are thinking of a stay in Poipu. The owners and property manager were super responsive answering any questions that came up.

Mark and Kristi were amazing to rent from. Communication was prompt, personable, and professional! House is amazing! Separate “in law” suite was perfect for our adult children. The house is meticulous. Pool area is well maintained and perfect for a post beach dip. All of the amenities of home except located in paradise! House doesn’t sit right on the golf course which we liked (it is on the inside of a circle with the outside on the course). We would stay here again without hesitation. We can’t thank Mark and Kristi enough!’ We hiked, sailed, snorkeled, rode ATVs, explored beaches, paddled up rivers, and had some great dinners out. Happy to provide information about any of those activities.

The property was very accommodating from the rooms down to the details of amenities! It had everything you’ll need for the pool and beach. I love the double showers, so convenient for showering with the kids. And the host was also very accommodating!

Beautiful house and perfect base for Kauai. We had a lot of fun at this house and enjoyed the stay very much. We had three couples and there was plenty of room.

We absolutely loved the house!! I stayed there with my family (husband and two daughters - 12 and 15) including my dad. The Ohana suite was great for my dad - gave him his own space with a Keurig (for morning coffee) to be part of the action but also a place to get away. We loved how the house was laid out with space between all bedrooms and with the pool as the center point of the property. The gardens were gorgeous and we enjoyed the covered grilling/eating area at the pool. It was a short drive (5 min or less) to Poipu beach and many restaurants and shops in the area. The communication with the owner/manager were excellent both before arrival and during our stay. The house had everything we needed. Mahalo for a great stay!! We will be back!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay at this house was. My boyfriend and I stayed here with another couple and had more than enough room with privacy, but also great communal spaces. The house and property are stunning, comfortable and had everything we needed for a week on Kauai. We love Poipu, so the location of this house was perfect for us, too. The owners were very communicative and the check in/out was seamless. When we left yesterday, we started talking about our next trip back to kauai and staying here again. If you’re thinking about booking this house - go for it! It will not disappoint.

We were a family of 7, staying for a little over a week. The house is in a great location with easy access to the beaches. The pool and the outdoor BBQ were fantastic, we used it every night and loved the space throughout the house. Thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Thank you Mark and Kristi.

We stayed at this beautiful property for the first half of our trip and it exceeded all our expectations. Mark and Kristi are truly the best hosts and made sure our stay was relaxing and stress free. The house is beautifully furnished and has a very homey fell. The pool was the best part of the house and we used it every single day during our stay. The house also has great air conditioning which was a huge plus during the hot days. There was a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and they also had a pack and play and high chair for the baby. It was such a pleasure to meet Mark and Kristi and stay at their beautiful house. Also, Mark went out of his way to help with an issue that came up for us during our trip. Mahalo!! We can't wait to come back.

Plenty of room, great property management, great location, we had a wonderful stay. The pool is for dipping, not laps. Could have used a garage door opener remote, but everything else was great.

We stayed for one week at Mark and Kristi’s house and it was wonderful! The house looks like it is completely brand new furnished and everything is in perfect condition. The pictures actually don’t do it justice, it is even more beautiful in real life. We enjoyed the pool and the spacious bedrooms, and Mark and Kristi even got us a pack n play and high chair for our baby, so we didn’t have to bring anything extra. They checked in with us, brought us extra hairdryers and were super responsive for any questions we had. The WiFi was great as well, we were even able to do some work calls with fabulous connection. We would definitely come back - and bring a second family or the grandparents, as the layout of the place would be ideal to accommodate two (or maybe even 3) sets of adults due to the cute guest house across from the pool.

This review builds on a previous review of this property, as we significantly extended our stay. It is worth recognizing one critical, additional aspects of this rental (since our previous review commended the location, configuration, etc.) The owners -- Mark and Kristi -- are outstanding. Whereas many rentals on Kauai are handled by management agencies, this property is entirely managed by the owners. That means they care deeply about your experience and provide way more personal service and engagement. Any text or email we sent was answered immediately, and Mark and Kristi repeatedly went above and beyond our expectations to ensure our family had the time of our lives on Kauai. This level of hospitality and personal investment is not possible from a management company, and we are grateful for having had the opportunity to meet Mark and Kristi. They are welcoming, generous and genuine people.

We stayed at this home for 3 weeks and enjoyed it so much, we extended for 3 more weeks. We only wish we had stayed longer—this became an extremely comfortable home for us on the island. The house is outstanding. Our family of four had a lot of space. At a time when there were two adults working remotely and two kids attending school remotely, we all had rooms / tables / desks to call our own and great WiFi. And there's nothing better than taking a swim in between meetings or classes. Better yet is the location. Our two boys are addicted to golf, and could walk to the driving range and putting green at Kiahuna Golf Course. We were minutes from the best beaches on the south shore and located such that we could easily drive to hikes in Waimea Canyon and Wailua (Nounou). The owners and house manager are extremely kind and responsive—when we (ahem) locked ourselves out early in our trip, there was a solution in minutes. If you are looking for a first-class house in a quiet neighborhood, with access to golf, beaches, restaurants, hikes and other adventures, this is a fantastic find!

We had the privilage of staying in this beautiful home with our family recently and could not have been more impressed. We were 6 adults and a toddler and were able to accommodate everyone very comfortably. The neighbourhood is very safe and quiet and just a short drive to the beach and shopping in the Poipu area. When we were not at a beach or exploring the island we would spend our time swimming and soaking up the sun around the pool. We really enjoyed the outdoor grill and spent most our evenings cooking and planning the next days activities. Mark and Kristi were so accommodating and very prompt in returning messages throughout our stay. We give the owners, management, property and location Five big stars!! and hope to return again soon. We were a mother and adult son from the East Coast and a son, daughter-in-law and 5-month old baby from the West Coast. The home fit our needs perfectly and quickly became "our" home for a week or so. The bedding was comfy, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, and all the appliances were in great shape and easy to use. The home itself was beautiful and we enjoyed looking at the art and artifacts the owners have collected. Besides island-wide sightseeing, we took walks around the neighborhood, it was an easy walk or drive to Poipu Shopping Village, and one son walked to the beach early each morning for exercise and coffee. Any question or concern was answered very personably within minutes by Mark, one of the owners.

The property is located in a golf community just a few minutes drive from Poipu beach. It’s quiet, relaxing and clean. They keep some beach supplies and have a nice small pool that gets good sun. There is a gas grill outside for those inclined to have a BBQ.

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. We really enjoyed the quiet privacy and our own pool! The kids would have been happy swimming in the pool all day. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the two families that were traveling together. Will stay here again! Mahalo!

We just spent 7 wonderful day at this property (2/1-2/8). Everything was as advertised and beyond. Great location, close to everything we wanted to do. Nice quiet neighborhood. Very safe. We loved the starter kit that was there ( coffee,laundry detergent, soaps, everything needed for beach day) very tasteful decorated felt elegant yet very homey. The outdoor area was very relaxing. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your home. Would definitely recommend not just your home but the owners as well. Very easy to work with.

Stayed for 5 days for a work conference at one of the nearby resorts/hotels. Excellent location, beautiful home that easily fit 5 adults and one toddler. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had and very informative. Friendly neighbors as well. Short walk/drive to Athens beach and nearby shopping centers to supply the house. Had a local chef come and prepare a meal for us and even he was impressed with the home. Would highly recommend this Home to everyone looking for a fun home with a great location and great access to a plethora of things nearby.

Perfect spot for our family and We enjoyed having our own pool. Close to the beach , shops and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood perfect for our family to unwind and decompress. The house has everything you’ll need for a day at the beach (chairs, mats , umbrellas). If you decide to stay in and cook you’ll find a well appointed kitchen and grill . We loved the house layout . We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: *Separate guest house. Our family of 4 was in the main house and my sister in the guest house, so it was the perfect setup. *Pool off kitchen made for some easy going laid back days with cooking and pooltime at home. *The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. PLENTY of dishes and silverware and a nice set of pots and pans and knives. *Super close drive to town for groceries, restaurants, and shopping. Beach is only 1.5 miles away - we walked one day. *Beds were super comfy and the individual room AC kept the bedrooms cool at night. Cons: *The kids brought legos - which got lost under the couch a couple times. And it is clear the couches have never been moved for vacuuming. *Garage (maybe garbage cans?) have a very ripe odor. Again - a thorough clean would help here. *Continuing the trend - the master shower is so cool with an open air block glass shower. But it has some serious mold which smells when you turn the water on. Some bleach would work wonders here. Overall an awesome stay and we would come back. Just could use a good cleaning.

Recently, three couples were looking for a house to rent as part of a fabulous vacation. The Williamson’s home fit the bill in every way. We were greeted with a wonderful gift basket upon arrival. The home was large and comfortable for six adults, located in a quiet and well kept neighborhood. We were able to eat a socialize together and still have privacy. The kitchen was large enough and equipped to prepare meals easily. The outdoor grill was meticulously clean and provided a place to grill and great local fish. The patio, gazebo and pool were perfect for relaxing after long days of touring and golf. If you’re looking for the perfect vacation home, this is it.

We had the absolute best time in Kauai, and staying in your beautiful home was perfect for our group of six. We rented this home for our family while we were on the island for our son’s wedding. We loved being able to grill and enjoy dinners poolside. The bedrooms were spacious and there was plenty of room to comfortably accommodate our three adult sons. The house had everything you would need for a beach vacation - plenty of chairs, coolers, umbrellas and beach towels. The location of the house is ideal for getting to the beaches, little shopping plazas, and all the cool venues the Po’ipu area has to offer. It also gave us peace of mind to know that the property manager was a quick phone call away if there were any issues. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood in a golf community. We absolutely love this home! This is our second time to stay at this gorgeous house in Kauai. We walk in and immediately feel at home. The owners, Mark and Kristi, have thought of everything. This house is beautifully appointed and has every amenity we wanted/needed. The location is perfect as it is so close to restaurants and the beach, and the neighborhood is beautiful (on the golf course). We have a 12 year old and almost 16 year old so the layout of the house is perfect to give everyone space and privacy, yet the flow creates family gathering opportunities in the great room. We love to hit the beach and this house is stocked with all the supplies we needed (chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards). One of my favorite features of this home is the backyard. We spent every morning eating breakfast under the gazebo, and after a long day at the beach/exploring, we spent the late afternoons relaxing in the pool. I truly cannot say enough great things about this home. We absolutely plan to return!

This home is located in an upscale golf community, only about one mile away from the beach. The house had a unique layout that was very favorable for our situation of traveling with in-laws. The patio and pool area were very well kept and offered a quiet, tranquil setting. My only complaint about the property is the lighting. The light and ceiling fan switches are comparable to cracking the da Vinci code. Other than that, everything else was perfect. The property owners were very easy to work with. We highly recommend this location.

We all know why we go to Kauai. The tropical weather, the beauty of the flowers because of the light rains almost daily, and the smell and color of the oceans water. Want to take it up a notch, lease from the Williamson's ! These folks have done an AWESOME job of providing a home that will make your vacation 110% of your expectations after looking at the photos that they have provided, only to arrive there and find that it is better than the pictures! If it's not there you probably don't need it, but if you must go ahead and ask and by the time you come back, you may find that it is there, and trust me you will come back. Lets give this one 6 STARS

We chose Kaua’i for our Spring Break trip this year. We found this house and were fortunate to book it. The house met all our expectations. It is very clean, spacious, quiet and included everything we needed. It was also close to excersions we wanted to do on the south end of the island. The pool and outside barbecue were put to good use by the entire family. We met Mark and Kristi, the owners, who happened to be staying next door. They were very accommodating and willing to help us with whatever we needed. We highly recommend this home and would stay here again.

This was a great vacation property for 3 couples. This home had all the amenities including all you needed for the beach which was great. It was close to restaurants and a short drive to the beach. It was very clean and very well kept and was just absolutely gorgeous. We definitely recommend this property. Whenever we had any questions, the owner responded right away. They have purchased a coffee maker so they have both a coffee maker and a Keurig which is great. We loved the beautiful art work! Thank you for letting us share your home and thank you as well for the wonderful basket we received when we arrived.

We had 3 generations stay here...my wife and I, my daughter and husband and their 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter. The layout here was perfect for us. This place is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. Great location near beach, shops, restaurants and golf course. Owners and manager were very easy to reach at any time. Just go here.

We stayed with 2 other couples and this home was perfect for us. The only criticism at all that I would have is that one of the rooms has a queen size bed instead of a king size. That became an issue when we were deciding what room everyone would use. Other than that, the house is beautiful and has every amenity you could possibly want in a vacation home. We barbecued almost every night on the island and the pool area with the bbq is just so inviting. The living room is large and comfortable with plenty of seating for everyone. With the two separate dining room tables, there is plenty of room for everyone to sit down and have a meal. We never watched tv but appreciated the fact that there was a tv in every room! The house is close enough to the ocean to be very convenient..it was also right off a golf course and there were plenty of nice restaurants nearby! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Location was awesome. House was great, we had 6 adults and it worked out well. It had everything we needed. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by.

We enjoyed this house very much for 8 days, the neighborhood is quiet, beautifully landscaped at center of the golf course community. This house is private with the house wrapping around the pool and a high wall at streetside. Adequate parking for 2 rental vehicles off street. The BBQ pavilion is lovely and provided needed shade. Pool toys and beach chairs, cooler, umbrellas provided with a longish walk to Poipu beach. The house was immaculately clean, bedrooms HUGE. We were disappointed with lack of a rice cooker and coffee maker (to be fair, there was a Kuerig and French press available) for our coffee-loving (fanatic) group, had to make quite a few presses for our group of 5 adults! Pool was nice, warm-ish, a bit small due to it’s location between the wings. Enjoyed walking in the community, sunsets, and bird song all day long. Very peaceful.

This property is well maintained and is kept up to date with great artwork and is located in a quiet prestigious neighborhood. Pool and courtyard offer privacy and relaxing solitude. Excellent landscaping. We'll definitely be returning. This property offers great value compared to luxury resorts.

We stayed here for eight days and seven nights, great set-up and layout for family, appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella available at the home as well as the laundry facilities. Less than a mile from Poipu Shopping Center which is super convenient for morning coffee at Starbucks or juice at Kauai Juice Co. Quiet neighborhood with little traffic on the street - tranquil at night - highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this place. The house is beautiful, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and close to everything. We loved our beds; the master bathroom is a gem with great showers; the swimming pool water is heated and makes you want to enjoy the pool each time of the day. The kitchen is big and has everything one needs, and we loved the big barbecue in the garden. If we could, we would stay here forever! We think he house would also be very suitable for more couples as one of the bedrooms, with its own bathroom, basically is in a separate house. In our case, our teen daughter loved to pretend to have her own home. The house is situated in a villa area near the golf courses. If you exit the area and follow the road, you end up at the street just north of the resorts, so you are really close to the sea. Renting a car is required though, in order to get your groceries (and the pool manager told us where to go shopping to avoid the higher prices at the markets where the resort residents go). Mark and Kristie were very kind and responsive in the communication. And the property manager Jason was very helpful; we experienced some minor issues and each time he was easy to reach and came over within 15 minutes. We are sad to leave and would recommend this house to everyone. It’s worth the money.

The moment we opened the front door and entered the open courtyard with pool, lounging area, and barbecue gazebo we knew that we had selected the perfect location for our week in Kauai. To the left in the courtyard was the separate ohana "master suite". My sister loved the decor and privacy she had there. The main house has the other very large master suite, huge living and dining area, and a third bedroom and bathroom. All three bedrooms had lots of storage (including a walk-in closet in the main house master). The kitchen has it's own dining area next to the pool. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining. The dishwasher definitely came in handy. The sliding windows on all sides of the house and ohana open wide to allow the trade winds to cool the house naturally. Each bedroom is also equipped with powerful air conditioners. What more could we ask for? Owners who were great to work with.

We loved staying at this property! My family of five had their own private spaces within this uniquely designed home. From the moment you walk in, you know that it is meticulously cleaned and cared for. All of the “extra’s” like K-cups, toiletries, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, snack basket, etc. are there! No need to spend a fortune on these things for one week’s use, only to leave the excess behind! The pool is perfect, the home and location are perfect, and the owners are really nice to work with.

We had three couples (mom dad and two adult children and their wives) and loved that everyone had their own space. The pool was a great space for our family to hang out as well as the kitchen where we cooked often. I would highly recommend the house and the location!!

The house is spacious and beautiful and the outdoor pool area feels like a relaxing oasis. It is a lovely, quiet neighborhood (which is exactly what we wanted) with lovely views of the golf course, mountains and ocean in the distance. The home is perfectly maintained and comes equipped with everything you could need for cooking, lounging by the pool, beach trips etc. The location could not have been better with easy access to Koloa, Poipu, and the kukuiula village shops. The owners were also incredibly kind and professional throughout all communications. We were even greeted at the house with a fresh fruit basket! A great spot!

This home is really quite special. The layout, the furnishings, the courtyard pool, all are just about perfect. Bedrooms are separated well, providing plenty of privacy for guests in all three suites. Nicely done Stone decking that flows into the entry & kitchen area is beautiful and easy on your feet smooth. Huge and comfy living room, well equipped kitchen and two nice dining areas make for plenty of living space for all. Pool area with covered BBQ and nice furniture is lovely and private as it is completely surrounded by the house. Owners are very responsive to any questions and they obviously take pride in providing a quality stay for their guests. Etched glass in the "Island Style" is everywhere and adds to the ambience. No ocean view, but the neighborhood is very quiet, serene and close to everything in Poipu. We liked it so much we are returning to stay there in August for our daughter's wedding. [This is my second review, was first one lost?] This beautiful and extremely comfortable home was just perfect for our group of 3 couples. We would stay here again without bothering to check any competition.

A perfect home for our family to gather. Our 4 year old grandson began the week timid in the pool to swimming with confidence. Undaunted by blustery weather he could have spent all day in the pool. The home is very well equipped and spotless.Thank you for the welcome basket!

Located in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood, this beautiful home is everything you could ask for and more. We were a group of 6 adults that called this place home for 2 weeks. We all had the privacy of our own bedroom and bathroom with a supply of toilet tissue, Kleenex, towels, hair dryer, and a sample size of shampoo, body wash and lotion. Each bedroom has its own TV and the master bedroom has a safe to secure your valuables. The entire house is very clean and spacious. The kitchen has quality appliances and is stocked with all the dishes, utensils and cookware you need. There's a beautiful BBQ area to grill your dinner while enjoying the beauty of the back yard, heated pool and lanai area. There's coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, pool floaties and other pool toys for you to use. We arrived at the house very late at night, but Mark and Kristi provided clear instructions on everything we needed to know when we got there. A beautiful "welcome" basket was waiting for us on the counter which we enjoyed throughout our stay. Jason, the property manager, was very helpful and easy to contact if need be. From the time we booked the house right up to the day we left, the communication was prompt and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful home that is well appointed with all supplies for a great stay. New pool solar heater made the pool temperature very comfortable and water temperature was actually warmer than air temperature.

Great experience at this Home - easy to gain access, clean and well-appointed. Includes many items that sometimes you don’t receive at other homestays - toiletries, hairdryer, laundry soap, coffee K-cups, and plenty of starter seasonings for cooking, beach equipment, and a lovely fruit basket! Pool was amazing - and heated - so it made it hard to leave! House catches trade winds but the AC in the bedrooms makes it particularly comfortable to escape the humidity. We loved the open floor plan and the spacious kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms roomy. The pool added a nice touch to the overall comfort of the yard. The only draw back was the light /fan switches which were a little too high tech for me! Very nice property, we will be back!

I shared this home with a business associate for a week while working on the island. We found everything we needed to feel right at home. The pool and backyard grill were perfect for our needs. It essentially has two master suites and an additional bedroom that is roomy and inviting as well. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by the Kiahuna golf course there is practically no traffic and is surrounded by lovely homes. It is a very short drive to anything you might need to shop for as well as many good and great restaurants and the best snorkeling beach on the island. Kristi and Mark were very accomodating and made sure we had all the information we needed for a simple arrival process. You be sure to have a great stay in Hawaii.

Beautiful home within close proximity to shopping and restaurants! The pool was especially nice to have as we arrived in August and it was extremely hot! It was very nice to have the 3 bedrooms air-conditioned! The vacation home was equipped with everything you would need for either a backyard BBQ or a day at the beach! Enjoyed our stay and made wonderful family memories!!

We had an excellent time. The main house is very spacious and seems very new. My 14yo son loved having his own private apartment with bathroom, and the pool courtyard is very private. The home is only a few minutes from everything in Poipu. Home, yard, and pool were very well maintained. AC in the bedrooms made sleeping easy.

This lovely home in Poipu / Koloa area on Kauai is beautifully appointed and every convenience is provided. The spacious three bedrooms/bathrooms accommodated our family of 4 adults and 2 teens perfectly. We were celebrating two milestone birthdays while we were on Kauai. The courtyard with the pool is easily accessible and just the right size for a quick swim or float anytime of day or night!! It was a quick drive to the nearest beach and the provided beach gear was invaluable. The home's location provides easy access to Poipu and Koloa shopping, restaurants, beaches, etc. We would make another trip there in a heartbeat!! Thanks to Mark, Kristi and Jason too.

This home is over the top. From the beautiful interior with the most comfortable couch we\'ve ever experienced, to the pantry with a selection of useful items, to the wonderful layout of the house we were very pleased. We all enjoyed having the pool for relaxing and the outdoor cook station was great for grilling our dinners. Even the garage with the outdoor 'toys' was very clean. The beach chairs and umbrellas were the nicest quality ones we've ever had at a VRBO rental. It is quite apparent that the homeowners take pride in their home and the facilities they provide. Thank you Mark and Kristi for sharing your wonderful home with all of us.

What can I say that the other reviewers have not said? This house is awesome. It is in a perfect location. The layout of the house is perfect. It is simply breathtaking when you walk into the courtyard/pool area. I could go on and on. Plus! There is AC!!! There is a reason it has so many five star reviews. The owner has thought of everything, he even came over to check and make sure everything was ok. If you are looking at renting…rent this one, trust the reviews, you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful property, totally spotless on arrival. Arriving instructions were detailed and easy to follow. All amenities were provided as advertised. Met the owners, Mark and Kristi twice and they are so nice and made sure that everything was in order and made sure we were comfortable and didn\'t have any questions. Property was perfect for 5 adults and one child and close ( within 5/10 minute drive) to nearby stores, restaurants and beach activities. Located in a very quiet neighborhood and all homes were very nice. Would highly recommend to anyone and we would certainly rent this again if/when we return to that area. The pool was perfect for both children and and adults and outside BBQ area was great to entertain and relax. The a/c in the bedrooms was a lifesaver for very comfortable sleeping as main areas can get a little warm although winds do cool it off. One convenient improvement would be to have a garage door pad to open/close door when going/coming. All in all a great location, great home and wonderful owners !

First, you walk into the courtyard with a beautiful pool. The house was very clean and welcoming. The floor plan worked perfectly for 3 couples. There are plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, coolers and toys. It was great to meet Mark and Jason. There is definitely pride of ownership. Our niece married the captain at Kuaui Sea Tours, so we plan to return and stay here.

This was the perfect place to spend a relaxing, quiet and fun-filled week. The house is stunning, very clean, and every detail attended to with care by the owners and highly responsive property manager. I've rented many homes over the years for vacation purposes and so often claims of amenities and provided supplies are unrealized. In this case, anything we could have needed or wanted was available to us from household basics to coolers, chairs, water flotation, and beach toys. So nice to tour such a beautiful island and end the day around the patio with a float in the pool, fish on the grill and cool tradewind breezes. We would recommend this property without a doubt!

We stayed at this gracious house for a week, and were so sad to leave. It was our first trip to Kauai, and was a great landing spot after long hours at the beach or in a car. We had our two sons with us, and the pool kept them busy for many glorious hours. The master bedroom is particularly luxurious, with an impressive high ceiling and deeply comfortable bed. And my oldest son (9) thought he was so cool having his own private cabana! I hope to stay here again!

This home was fantastic! It was in a beautiful area and had a great outdoor area with beautiful pool and BBQ. The inside was done very nicely with attention to detail and the home has a great layout for multiple couples!!! I would definitely recommend it.

A perfect home for a wonderful family vacation. This home is bright and spacious and is a perfect getaway for a family. The kitchen is well appointed with a bright eating area over-looking the patio and pool - a perfect spot for enjoying breakfast while watching the kids play in the pool. The living room was cozy and inviting and just the space for relaxing at night after a day at the beach and watching a movie with the family. A wonderful quiet community close to great beaches and shopping and it was an absolute treat to have our beach needs met without having to run out to the store to rent or buy boogie boards or chairs. It was a lovely surprise and pleasure to be able to meet Mark and Kristi and they made our family feel welcome and right at home. The property manager - Jason - was gracious and exceptionally helpful in assisting us with the home and it was a pleasure visiting with him. Even the gentleman and his son that care for the pool was lovely - the Canadian connection was just a bonus. This was simply a wonderful experience. It truly felt as though we were staying in a home and made our family vacation all the more special.

This home was exactly as described. We were three couples vacationing together and it was laid out perfectly for that. Very quiet neighborhood but close to shopping, beaches and restaurants. The owners left a lovely fruit basket on arrival which we appreciated after a long flight. We loved that they provided coolers and beach chairs for our outings at the beach. The owners responded quickly to the few questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

We just returned from a 9 day stay at this property. It was absolutely beautiful! The home was very clean, the kitchen well stocked, and as everyone else commented, there was a fresh fruit bowl there upon our arrival. It is laid out very efficiently, and furnished very nicely, providing more than enough room for our family of 5 adults. We especially loved how the courtyard and pool area seemed like another room in the home, and could be accessed from the master bedroom, kitchen, and third bedroom. The location was great too... only a 5 minute drive to the shopping center. We either drove or walked to Living Foods every morning for an Acai bowl, which was so yummy! Both the owner and property manager made themselves available in case we needed anything, and the owner even called to check in and make sure everything was alright with the home. You can't go wrong with this property!

We were so happy with our stay, the home is beautiful, many special touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. Perfect location, close to shopping, beaches and delicious restaurants. Our family of five adults enjoyed a 10 day stay at this exceptional home over the holidays. The home is exactly as billed and prior reviewer comments are accurate in describing this property as five star. It's in a great location -- lovely, quiet neighborhood, yet a 5-10 minute car ride or 20 minute maximum walk to the beach and shops/ restaurants in Poipu and Kukuiula shopping centers or Koloa town (via a cane road). Furnishings (including beds) are higher end and comfortable. The outdoor lanai was the perfect place for enjoying morning coffee or a drink in the evening. We love to cook and took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and grill to enjoy meals of fresh Opah and tuna from the Koloa Fish Market and produce from various farmers markets (our favorite was the Saturday market at Kauai Community College). We appreciated the lovely fruit basket on arrival and the pantry with staples (salt, pepper, spices, sugar, wraps). We had some rain while there, so the solar-heated pool was a little cool -- should not be a problem most of the year. All in all, a wonderful stay with great memories -- hope to stay again in the not too distant future!

We stayed a week at this lovely home. The home is beautifully maintained and decorated with such attention to detail. When we arrived, there was a large fruit basket! They really thought of everything, including beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, etc... Kitchen with all the modern conveniences and even had spices, plastic wrap, etc..! We cooked many of our meals in. We met my brother and his wife and my niece and her husband joined us mid week. It was perfect for the six of us. We had plenty of space. Beds were very comfortable. Pool is on the small side and a bit chilly but very refreshing and perfect for our group. They had really nice flotation loungers and comfortable patio furniture. We rented a car and would recommend doing so, even though beaches aren't far and golf course right there- just easier. One night we had a cab pick us up and we went on a Catamaran sunset dinner cruise through Captain Andy's-very fun! We also did Kayak Kauai which we kayaked to a spot, then hiked to a waterfall. Absolutely beautiful. Lots of shopping options nearby and tons of restaurants. Great fish tacos at the Dolphin in Poipu and an awesome ice cream place we frequented-think it is called Lappert's also in Poipu? I corresponded with the owners via email several times at which they provided security codes, directions, etc...There was also a book in the home with more details. The property manager came by one day and I met him-extremely nice and wanted to make sure we were had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this home. It was an absolutely wonderful trip!

We just got back from staying a week at this house and it was absolutely amazing! Mark, Kristi and Jason were great to work with and quickly answered any questions we had. The house is so beautiful it's hard to want to get out and see Kauai. The layout of the house is very nice and it was very well taken care of and clean. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you could possibly need and we also loved having beach chairs and umbrellas to use. They really thought of everything and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

We took our grown kids & grandson and had the best vacation! The home is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. Very clean, comfy beds, all the beach gear you need. The pool & courtyard area were fantastic, we enjoyed swimming and lounging around every afternoon. We ate most of our meals in and the kitchen had everything we needed. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, we enjoyed several walks on the quiet streets. We would definitely stay again. I highly recommend this rental, it is a very well cared for home & it shows. We so enjoyed our family vacation at Mark and Kristi's beautiful home on the south side of Kauai. The pictures, while very nice, do not do this property justice. The layout of this 3 bedroom home was perfect for our family with our almost teenager staying in the O'hana suite, my 9 year old had the queen guest room and we enjoyed the spacious master suite. The home was so clean and well maintained, the furnishings perfect and beautiful. We instantly unpacked our belongings and made ourselves right at home (and felt at home). We enjoyed every morning sunrise out in the poolside courtyard and spent every late afternoon in the pool. The owners thought of everything and we were well taken care of. We also loved the proximity of the home to Poipu beach, Shipwreck beach, shopping, fabulous restaurants, etc. Location was perfect! We have rented numerous homes for our family vacations in Hawaii and the Caribbean, and this is by far our favorite. We will definitely return. We were sad to leave. We couldn't of asked for more. The home is beautiful and spacious. It made for a great family vacation, from the pool, to the kitchen, to the great room. At the same time we all felt we had our privacy, when needed, especially the grandparents who used the separate O\'hana suite. It was the perfect family vacation home. The house itself was immaculate, it is beautifully maintained, and furnished to a very high standard. We stayed in the Grand Hyatt Kauai last year and this eclipsed it, especially with all the welcoming touches. The location is great and having use of all the beach equipment made a huge difference. What an outstanding vacation we had in this beautiful home! Our family agrees this is the best home and location we have experienced in the islands over the last ten years! My husband and I and 2 other couples stayed here for a week. It was the perfect house - 3 big bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is close to shops, the golf course, the beach and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed the pool and BBQ grill and cooked most dinners at home. It was really nice to have beach chairs and towels and coolers provided so that we did not have to rent them when we took our excursions. This house was a true retreat and it was really hard to leave. Can hardly wait to return some day. Thanks for everything.

We stayed with another couple and our gaggle of kids and had a blissful week. The house is exquisite with pretty much every comfort provided. Thank you to the owner who was very kind and responsive to all requests. This rental is a wonderful way for a family to explore Kauai and yet have a quiet, tranquil, comfortable place to retreat to each evening.

Where do I even begin to put into words just how stunning this home really is? From the moment we walked thru the front door be we were so impressed. Everything about the home is just beautiful and so thought out. This was a family trip for us with our two young children and my parents and this home had everything we needed and more. The pool and outdoor BBQ are just a few of our favorite features. It was so relaxing in the afternoon to grill out and let the kids play in the pool. The private suite was perfect for the Grandparents and we loved the open feel of the home for visiting and relaxing in the evenings. It was great to be able to borrow all the beach supplies and didn't have to buy any unnecessary things while traveling. This was our first official family trip with our children and what a memorable one it was. The owners went above and beyond to answer any questions we had not only before but also during our stay. They truly want to make sure that everything is perfect for your visit. We never wanted to leave the house but when we did the beach was only 5 minutes away. Also we loved how close all the shopping and restraunt options were. This part of the island was very family friendly. We are already talking about our next visit and hope to make Hale Moe'uhane part of our family reunion tradition. This truly was one of the best trips I've experienced and I can't thank Mark and Kristie enough for allowing us to experience paradise in this spectacular home!

Can't say enough good things about this house! Was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The pool and BBQ area was our favorite place to enjoy the weather and eat! Location was ideal! Near the beach, golf coarse and shopping malls. Great customer service from the owners. Provided phone numbers and information. We definitely will be back and recommend this home to anyone!

Hale Moe'uhane was the perfect place to escape from it all. The decor, space and luxurious feeling exceeded our expectations. The property was well maintained and in tip top shape, one would never believe it was rental. The owners were in town and introduced themselves when we first arrived. They and the property manager made sure we had everything we needed, to include contact numbers if we had and questions or concerns. We loved the open airy feeling of the multiple sliding glass doors that opened into the courtyard. We would enjoy a fruity Mai Thai in the afternoon while watching our kids cool off in the sparkling clean pool (pool cleaners came 2x/wk). Several nights we sat in the comfortable over stuffed patio chairs and watch the moon and stars shine brightly above. We cooked every night on the grill or in the well outfitted kitchen. In the morning we would drive to the beach and take early morning walks on the Maha\'ulepu heritage trail and watch the sunrise. The scenery was spectacular. The Monk Seals lazing on the beach, Green Turtles surfing the waves and breaching whales were icing on the cake. After doing some island sightseeing and a flight seeing tour (recommended) we felt that the best part of our vacation was staying in Poipu, enjoying the beaches or relaxing at Hale Moe'uhane. The Poipu shopping village was right down the street, make sure you try at least one Puka dog and drop in for the live Hula and Hawaiian music on Mon/Thurs afternoons. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking hit the Costco in Lihue. It will save you money and they have a great variety of produce, meats, seafood and sun glasses! It's also a great spot to find coffee, chocolates and macadamia nuts; a consolation prize for those who were unlucky enough to travel with you to this paradise!

My wife and I just got back from visiting Kauai with two other couples and stayed at Marks and Kristi's place in Poipu. The house is located in the middle of a very fun golf course close to a couple shopping centers and beaches. The layout was great for us, each couple got their own room with A/C and bathroom and the shared space was large enough to eat, play games and have fun without feeling crowded. The kitchen and BBQ (outside by the pool) area were great to cook group meals in and the dinner room spacious enough to eat together. They had beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs and a cooler so we didn't have to buy anything, we were set! The pool was great to hang out at in the mornings and then we would head to the beach from there. It\'s about a 3 minute drive to 3 different beaches so very convenient. The two shopping centers are also very close as well as a Starbucks for morning coffees. Our experience was amazing and we will be recommending to our friends!

As I have rented many vacation homes through VRBO this is the first where the house was BETTER than the pictures. It was well appointed and a perfect location. Could not ask for more. Having one of the bedrooms set up as a "guest house" detachment was great too. AC in the bedrooms was really nice as the trade-winds dropped out for a few days. Everything worked as described and getting in and leaving was a snap. Highly Recommend!

Last year was the first time that our family has EVER rented a house for a family vacation. I wasn't sure about not being in a hotel during our vacation time but, as you can see we loved the house so much we decided to repeat last years decision. The house is just perfect, quiet, comfortable, and serene. The beautiful patio and private pool are just wonderful. I loved having my morning coffee out by the pool listening to all the beautiful sounds of Kauai ( the birds singing and the wind rustling in the palm trees ). Loved cooking dinner for everyone in the well appointed kitchen that over looks the pool and patio area. We always got a good nights sleep due to the quiet neighborhood and the heavenly mattresses the we laid upon. Starbucks and a fun shopping center are within walking distance of the house. Pizzetta in Koloa has great pizza and the BEST salted caramel gelato. It is also kid friendly. For the first time ever we also did snorkeling from a boat. Captain Andy's sailboat tours (recommended by Jason the property manager )was so much fun with the most friendly crew ever. I would sail with them again in a heat beat ! Kristi and Mark thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home in paradise again. We shall return !!

This is a wonderful home that is well kept, clean and a perfect set up with the pool, courtyard and barbecue layout. It is obvious the owners have paid attention to detail from the quality finish work, furniture, to the artwork. Very well and tastefully done. Very spacious, comfortable and quiet. Very homey, open and inviting. The pool was a perfect temperature and having A/C was a really nice plus. Just my wife and I on this trip without any kids. Stayed 2 weeks. Plenty of room if we had had family along as well. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, comfortable pillows. The home was perfect for us. Great location, really close to everything we needed. Maybe 5 minutes to Poipu beach, where we found plenty of easy parking. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler provided. We had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time exploring Kauai. We hiked the canyon some, toured the Na Pali coast by boat and by helicopter and did a lot of snorkeling. We also ate a lot of great food. We recommend the Bananas Foster at the Beach House. It was always wonderful to come home to such a perfect setting. We loved our stay in Kauai and we loved our stay in this home! Best place we have stayed in Hawaii yet. For us, better than staying at a resort, hands down. We would definitely stay here again. Owners are very nice, easy to work with and professional. Jason, the property manager, was awesome.

I've been to Kauai several times and this is by far the best place I've stayed at. My two brothers and their wives stayed here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay relaxing by the pool and BBQing. The house is beautifully decorated and is very comfortable. There was ample space for everyone to have their own privacy as well as gathering as group. The house and area are very quiet. We would definitely come back again.

We stayed at this home last year and couldn't wait to come back! The house is always in perfect condition, with perfect furnishings and amenities for a perfect stay on Kauai. From the beautiful pool and lanai area to the quiet cool bedrooms and top of the line furnishings throughout, this home once again exceeded our expectations. The house was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. They provided so many amenities. We didn't even have to purchase our own coffee or laundry detergent. There are so many nice restaurants and shops close by. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This house was everything we hoped it would be - even prettier than it looks on the website and totally pristine. The location was great; near beaches and great restaurants, and a large grocery store. Kitchen was well provisioned. The pool was a pleasure. Owners are great; very helpful with information, and the house manager, too was helpful and full of good ideas. Rent a convertible if you\'re inclined. It makes the beauty of this island even more striking. P.S. The pillows were wonderful. Pet peeve of mine when the pillows are cheap.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay during the first two weeks of April. For the first week we had my in-laws stay with us, and for the second week another family joined us. Mark and Kristi were extremely accommodating! The O'Hana suite is great as it provides a little bit of separation when traveling with other couples or other family members. There wasn’t really anything we needed that the home didn’t have. It’s an absolutely gorgeous place in a great location and is exactly as advertised (even better than the pictures actually!) Beds were very comfortable and the rooms are large; the house is immaculate, and perfectly furnished. The best part for me was the courtyard where we spent many relaxing afternoons sitting out in the sun near the pool. We look forward to staying again in this relaxing and beautiful home. Fantastic for both families and friends. Would highly recommend it!

We were in Kauai for a week with our two adult children. We have stayed at the Grand Hyatt before but the house was truly a superior option. Location is in a beautiful quiet golf course right down the street from one of the best beaches on the Island (Poipu) and just minutes from all of the best restaurants in the area (Merrimans, Red Salt, Tidepools, Beach House.....) House is beautifully furnished with large rooms, high end touches, well provided kitchen, beach supplies and private courtyard with a pool. Not much more to ask for. Mark and Kristi were great to work with although there was little need since everything in the house appeared to be new and was in good working order. We very highly recommend the house and the owners. Excellent for families or friends. We'd be right back if it wasnt so far from the East Coast.

The truth be known our second visit this year was just as good as the first ( Jan ), The owners continue to fine tune everything. The pool was warmer and the small detail of one door not closing properly were addressed. Like walking into your own home. Great little community setting. Away from the beach crowd. Loved everything except the pool being quite cold. The kids still swam everyday but complained about the temperature. As for the adults, we loved the peace and quiet of the area and especially the BBQ. We enjoyed the lovely walk to the beach. This is also a perfect spot for golfers. Close to everything. All five of us loved this home. It is beautifully furnished with very comfortable furniture and beds, with many high end touches throughout the home and kitchen. It is big and spacious, providing both plenty of gathering space and privacy. The private courtyard was a favorite place to relax and enjoy after a busy day of exploring the island. Mark and Kristi were very easy to work with and even provided a beautiful fruit basket when we arrived. Located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, it is a great location for easy access to any activity or location on the island. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this home for 8 days in January and loved it. The home was very open, up to date in amenities, warm and inviting, and the hawaiian style furniture was top quality and very comfortable. The private court yard with swimming pool and covered grill area with an outdoor dining table was well taken advantage of. The home is located centrally in the Poipu/Koloa area in a quiet golf coarse community and minutes from the beach. It is close to shopping and dining. The owners were great to work with and prompt in responses to questions or concerns. We would definitely rent here again. We loved the home and the neighborhood it was in as well as it's central location to everything. 5 stars from us!

We use VRBO regularly and have been happy with the results. This property was really good. There were five us and the home comfortably accomodated us. There were no surprises. What was described was very accurate. A safe quiet neigbourhood . The home was immaculate and well appointed. The new courtyard area was terriffic. We definately would rent again. The owners were great to deal with. Can not go wrong. Close to everything we needed.

Mark and Kristi have done a wonderful job transforming their home into a bit of paradise within the paradise of Kauai. We stayed one week, and wish we could have stayed longer. The home was immaculate. Jason, the property manager along with the gardeners and pool service have done a great job keeping the home in excellent working order. Jason was always available for any problem, although we had none. The furnishings are first class, high quality, and were an extension of the tropical feel of the island. The layout of the house is perfect for entertaining family and friends since you can see all major rooms and the pool from the kitchen which is centrally located The beds were most comfortable. The pool was delightful. For those in the mood for cooking or barbecue, all the utensils and service ware were excellent. The outdoor barbecue, next to the pool, was very convenient and user ready. As most of us are attached to our computer, even on vacation, the house is Wi Fi ready. The home is located adjacent to the local golf course and within walking distance of our favorite breakfast restaurant, Joe's On The Green. Starbucks and shopping are also a short pleasant walk from the house. The home is also a short distance from old Kaloa Town, with shops and fine restaurants. Also, in Kaloa, you could arrange for hikes, canoe trips, zipline etc. If you forgot to bring something from home, it\'s a short drive to Lihui, where you can get anything you need. If you just want to kick back, this house is the place to do it. The large, quiet celing fans in all rooms keep you comfortable. It truly is more than home away from home. Can't wait to return to paradise !!

We had the pleasure of staying in Mark's home in October. Mark was great to deal with, prompt and helpful, and did everything possible to ensure our trip was smooth and enjoyable. The house is in a very convenient location - quiet at night but just a short drive to everything Poipu has to offer. You will find absolutely everything you need to make your stay comfortable, from a well appointed kitchen to beach chairs and boogie boards. The house and property are beautiful and extremely clean, with extra touches like fresh flowers, bath products and a welcome basket to enhance your stay. The outdoor space is private and tropical and we all enjoyed spending time in the pool in the afternoons/evenings after exploring Kauai during the day. We had another couple join us for part of our stay and the set up with the separate guest house was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

We just stayed at Mark's amazing home for a week with 2 other couples and our 1 year old son. Mark was very friendly, helpful and super responsive. When our flights were cancelled to Kauai due to Hurricane Ana, he worked with us to suggest alternatives. The property manager, Jason is also wonderful! Jason helped arrange the crib delivery for our son and it was all set up when we arrived 🙂 The house is decorated tastefully, has an amazing lanai/pool area and is located near a lot of restaurants and shops in Poipu. The bedrooms are all large and have extremely comfortable beds. It was great that each couple also had their own bathroom. We also used the beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers a few times which were perfect. I highly recommend Mark's home for your Kauai get away. You won't want to leave!

Our family stay in this beautiful home was perfect and delightful. We had all the necessary amenities to make our stay both comfortable and enjoyable. The courtyard was very relaxing, especially floating on the pool mattresses while a dragon fly entertained us. The neighbourhood is very quiet and we enjoyed taking early morning walks while enjoying the beautiful views. We will definitely come back.

This is a beautiful property, and the photos do not do it justice. The interior spaces are large, spotless, and beautifully appointed with so many thoughtful touches. Everywhere you look inside and out there is something pleasant - art, etched class, a well-chosen piece of furniture - to see. Both the owners and the property manager are lovely to deal with and made us feel looked after even with a hurricane rolling in. The house is a short drive from the beach in a peaceful community away from the tourist madness, very private, and quiet in the evenings; we loved preparing meals from the excellent sunshine markets while our children swam, eating them in the airy dining area, and stargazing at night. The day we spent "in" when Iselle blew through was a pleasure - try saying at about any other property - reading and watching movies in the comfortable living room that was cozy while at the same time being large enough to dance in should you choose. You do need a car, but within 5 minutes' drive are several wonderful restaurants, an outstanding fish market, and beaches for swimming, snorkeling, boarding, tidepooling, whatever you wish. If you like to bike the terrain is level and there are several places close by worth exploring. Families with very small chilldren should note that there are sliders all around the house that open onto a courtyard with a pool, and one of the bedrooms is in an ohana suite that locks off separately. This was not a problem with our 10 year-old, who loved the privacy and is a good swimmer. We spent much more time here than we thought we would on this trip just because it was so relaxing and pleasant. Thanks to Mark and Kristi for all e love they've poured into this home!

I slightly considered not reviewing the property so it would always be available for us heh heh yes it\'s that good, but I know the word will get out about how great this place is so I might as well tell the truth. The house is fabulous. We were four guests, my mother, my husband and myself and our 8 year old son. We all had our own space, and the room my son was in would have easily accommodated another child if they shared a bed. The listing is very accurate. The house is well set up for a vacation (or even longer term living situation). We were hunting for local realestate during our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The property and house are spotless and pride of ownership shows in the focus on maintenance. The staff who did come to do the lawn and service the pool were very polite and careful not to bother us. The home owners went out of their way to see that we were comfortable and secure as did the property manager. We have stayed in many high end VRBO and this one fit right in with the best. I just can\'t say enough how great it was for us. We will use it again when we visit Kauai. For those with children, the doors to the pool can be easily secured and still allow for airflow in the house. The situation of the pool was wonderful though because it was so easy to be out with our son while either swimming or sitting on the patio and still interact with the family inside because of the way the house wraps around the patio. THe owners also provided a few beach supplies (coolers, chairs etc) as well as pool goodies which we took advantage of and appreciated not having to purchase or bring with us. The place is a gem. You won't be disappointed!

This home was outstanding. The design, furnishings and layout were all top notch and immaculate! The home was in pristine condition and so very comfortable and relaxing. We truly enjoyed the private and completely secure lenai, pool and patio area. The evenings were cool and comfortable in the home and being able to park our cars in the garage was great. The owners and property manager were so very accomodationg and responsive and took great care of us. We have stayed in kauai several times and love the south shore and this golf community in particular. This is our favorite house yet and we will stay here again for sure!
