One of the most spectacular Kauai beaches is Hanalei Bay with its iconic view of Bali Hai. It has also been a popular Hollywood movie location and featured in South Pacific and The Descendants.

Black Pot, Hanalei Pavilion and Wai’oli are the three Kauai beach parks within the bay.
Hanalei is easily the largest bay on the Garden Isle of Kauai, set between two large rivers – Hanalei River to the east and Wai’oli River to the west. The largest of the two rivers, the Hanalei River, also serves as a popular venue for recreational paddling, kayaking and fishing.
The summer season generally provides flat water for easy access swimming, sailing, paddling, while the winter season brings larger swells with high surf for those surf enthusiasts. For ocean safety, there are several lifeguard stations posted around the bay and it is always a smart idea to check with the local lifeguard on duty as to the current conditions of the day. Our state motto “When in doubt, don’t go out.”
Kauai Beach Tips at Hanalei.
Swim along the shore between the pier to the first lifeguard for a fantastic workout. For surfing, the best is on the east side of the bay. Beginners should try the middle of the bay during summer when the surf is smaller and gentler. The two mile stretch of white sandy beach is perfect for a walk during Kauai sunset…..what a wonderful way to end the day in paradise! Hanalei Bay Resort is a great choice located in Princeville on one of the best locations on Kauai’s lush North Shore fronting the white sands of Hanalei Bay with amazing views of tropical sunsets, lush green mountains and the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.
We have unit 4206 available for your consideration. It is a deluxe interior ocean view hotel suite, king in the master bedroom, central air-condition with a private lanai overlooking the beautiful Hanalei Bay. The nightly rate is $150.00 per night. The total for 3 nights would be approximately $670 for 3 nights. Note, there is also a Hanalei Bay Resort Fee of $15 per night plus tax charged at check-in.

Thank you for visiting us. For your dates, I do have a beautiful 3 bedroom beachfront home on the famous Weke Road fronting Hanalei Bay! Paniolo Cottage for $1000 per night plus taxes and fees. Another option is Hale Okale, just one street off of Weke Road and a very short walk to both Hanalei Beach and Hanalei town. This is only $335.00 per night plus taxtes and fees. We do have other available options that are not in Hanalei, but very nearby Princeville as well. Lots of options, so give us a call to discuss and we’ll find the perfect one for you!
