Kauai Roastery in Waimea worked diligently to create Parrish Blend. We partnered with them because they share our commitment to be environmentally responsible and support eco-friendly travel. Kauai Roastery uses only the finest coffee beans from local and global farms that meet sustainable agricultural practices.
Choosing the right coffee blend took time and many tastings. We were looking for a dark roast that was unique and not available anywhere else. It had to be rich in taste yet not bitter. The end result has a peak flavor with hints of chocolate and berries.
Coffee Talk: Hawaii is the only state that grows coffee and the largest coffee farm in the United States is here on Kauai. Coffee has been a part of our island culture since the early 1800’s. The first trees came to Hawaii from Rio de Janeiro on a British warship. Today there are coffee plantations on all the major islands totaling 6,500 acres with annual production of 6 to 7 million pounds of green beans.
