Pick our Kauai vacation rentals at Sealodge and you’ll be just a short walk to this secluded Kauai beach in the Princeville Resort community. Also known in Hawaiian as Kaweonui Beach, this is a popular Kauai snorkel destination. See everything from Green Sea Turtles to Parrotfish. The water is shallow here and the best time to see fish is an hour before or after high tide. Be sure to check the seasonal surf forecast as there can be strong currents in winter.
It will be a 10 minute Kauai hike along a forest path to the beach. The challenging part is near the end when you must climb over rocks before touching the golden sand. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes for this walk and use caution if the rocks are slippery. It is worth the effort to relax on this beach under the shade of Hala and Kamane trees, play in the ocean and enjoy one of the seldom crowded Kauai beaches.
Sealodge Location: Enter the Princeville Resort and head north on Ka Haku Road for 0.7 miles. Turn right on Kamehameha Road and follow to the end. The trail is between buildings B and C and runs 0.25 miles to Kaweonui Beach.
Kauai Beach Notes: No lifeguard station, picnic tables or restrooms. Sealodge Beach is secluded! In high surf the beach can disappear. Wear closed toe shoes for the hike and pack mosquito repellent.
Parking is for Kauai condo guests only and street parking is not allowed except in limited spaces before entering the resort. Call our reservation team at 800-325-5701 to book your stay and enjoy easy access to this beach.
