Beautiful View

Overall great condo, large with nice bathrooms and good size kitchen for cooking all kinds of fresh food from the farmers markets! Two things to work on/fix though....the carpet throughout is pretty dingy and in need of a good steam clean or replacement and the mattresses are soooo hard even my two kiddos complained. Costco has great mattresses that won't cost alot....again still a great condo just needing a few tweaks.

This place was larger then I expected! Very quiet, handy to have towels, cooler and even detergent and personal soap already there for you!! View is gorgeous! There are always a few cons in an honest review- but these are simple fixes. Need a good can opener, update broken lamp shade and make sure previous guests have actually put the dishes away clean. Would stay again!

I found the place to match the description on VRBO exactly. Even the view was exactly as shown - I walked in and I felt like I knew the place. That is key when traveling with kids. Thanks for the understanding altered photos of the place.

Airbnb 5/2 Large condo with a stunning porch. Very well equipped. Quick walk to Poipu Beach Park. Great spot to spend a few nights.

Outstanding view of the ocean and a very short walk to the beach! The condo was very well equipped including beach chairs and umbrella. The grounds are quite lovely. Overall an excellent vacation!

Excellent Condo

This was one of the best equipped condo we have stay in. The view was outstanding. The grounds were beautiful. It was within walking distance to the beach. Cindi was extremely clean. I would definitely stay here again. Very quiet location.

We enjoyed our stay at this 3rd floor apartment. The pros: very nice view from the balcony ! We occasionally saw whales in the distance in the ocean! That was amazing. The kitchen is well equipped and nicely organized. It was very clean! It was great having a washer dryer in the apartment. There are good bath towels, beach towels and a good hairdryer. The unit also supplies soap / shampoo / lotion etc The cons: The actual unit and furniture is quite dated. There is carpet throughout the unit except for in the kitchen and bathrooms. It would be a nice improvement to have the carpet changed to a different flooring The bathroom tile and fixtures are also dated. On the balcony only 2 of the chairs are the right height for the table The others are too short. So if you have more than 2 people / only 2 can sit at the table height. Neutral: this is a 3rd floor unit which is great for the view !!! Just be ready to carry your luggage up there is no elevator! Again - overall we enjoyed our stay in #832!"

What An amazing view and condo! Perfect location and the Condo is super comfy. We every morning and evening On the lanai even saw some whale spouts from the lanai! We loved it, will definitely book again!

2nd visit to Paradise

My wife and I visited Poipu in 2014 and returned with our 3 boys (17-21) for a wedding. Great property with ocean views worth the three flights of stairs. A little difficult to find. Other family attending the wedding rented a $1.8M house and raved our condo was much better.

Best Stay in Kauai

What a breathtaking view to wake up to every morning and last thing to see every evening!! Everything was clean and tidy. They provided beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and plan to come back again!

Beautiful view - well maintained property including the grounds

I find the booking process very easy to use. Whether pickup during the day at the office or after-hour pickup at the lockbox, we have never had a problem with picking up keys.

The view was perfect!

Sliding glass door didn’t work, bathroom drain didn’t drain well. A picture fell off the wall. The repairs were quickly made within an hour or two while we were out. Better lighting is needed or a larger easier to read dial is needed on the lock for after-hours arrivals.

Great location, not too crowded.

All in all it was a fantastic stay. The accommodations were great . Main bedroom didn’t get trade winds flow like the other rooms did, BUT we were happy to have multiple floor fans available. Only complaint was kitchen knife handle came off all the time. Frustrating when cooking. Loved communal grills!!! Great to have had beach chairs. Had we known we wouldn’t have rented ones on way in. Great access to pool and beach. Will definitely come back again…. mahalo

Great apartment with views of the ocean.

We loved this place! We were impressed with the amount of space, the amenities included and the lovely view! The third floor is wonderful as there are vaulted ceilings and plenty of ways for the cool evening breezes to cool off the unit. We will definitely come again!

Fantastic view and close to the beach!

This complex is right next to the beach on Poipu. Easy to get to and very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom unit on the 3rd floor of bldg 8. The lanai was large and the views we amazing! The unit was spacious with a full kitchen. No elevator so it was a 32 step climb to the unit from the parking lot. Nice walkable complex and BBQ available throughout the complex. Small pool but convenient. Would definitely stay here again as long as you do not have mobility issues.

Kauai vacation

Overall the Nihi Kai condo was great! It was very clean, roomy and the ocean views were amazing. The beds were comfortable and having a washer/dryer on hand is great! The only thing I would change would be the carpet. I think hard floors would be cooler and cleaner. We also enjoyed the pool very much. Overall it was a great stay and Poi Pou is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. Thank you for everything! Mary from California

Great location -- easy with kids

This place was great for our family of 4, (the kids are 10 and 6). We had plenty of room and the beds were really comfy. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies. From our lanai we had a beautiful ocean view where we even saw whales spouting in the distance. The kids breakfasted every morning on the second lanai off their bedroom. We all had dinner each night on the front lanai or at the inside dining table. There is ample room here for 2 couples to share the place. Easy walk to the Poipu beaches, playground, and rocks, to see turtles and monk seals, and Brenecke’s for morning coffee. You can get anywhere from here by car. The staff is friendly. They answer questions and book excursions, but otherwise leave you alone. The communal grills by the tennis courts are clean and grilling is a fun way to meet others. The smallish pool is lovely. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained and safe for kids to roam around. Kauai is incredible, and Nihi Kai was a terrific choice for us! Ocean view is only available from some units, and it might not be as nice here without it.

Best Family Vacation In A Long Time

Fantastic views, and the morning coffee on the balcony was one of the best part of the day. Well furnished and well maintained condo; very quiet. Good home base for the rest of the island. The front office can help with booking anything with no mark up. Took care of a luau for us, and eating recommendations (Beach House!). We had booked a Napalli catamaran trip ourselves, which is worth doing. Snorkeled at every beach but “Tunnels” was the best; do Waimea Canyon! We had two older teens a long and it was all good. Shop Costco for stocking up. This is a good vacation for first timers to experience Hawaii. Next stop, Big Island!

Fantastic get-away.

Hardly a day goes by that we don’t say to each other that we need to go back to Kauai, and this condo was one of the main reasons that the vacation was so good. The third-floor view of the ocean (and the whales nearly every day in the distance)and the palm trees was fantastic and peaceful. The condo was roomy and comfortable as well. Can’t wait to return.

Incredible view south side of the island

Nihi Kai condo complex is situated in an ideal location on Poipu Beach Kauai. The view from our 3rd floor unit was exceptional…nearly the entire south coast of the island. The distance to the beach is about a block away. Sunsets were spectacular and sleeping hours comfortable with breezes from the nearby ocean. We have been visiting Kauai yearly since 1980 and have rented in many locations. Nihi Kai provides the most comfortable condos we have experienced. Easy sleeping without air conditioning! The grounds are beautiful and well-kept and the staff is very friendly. Today we sent in our deposit for our 2009 vacation. This place can’t be beat for the price and location.
