Beautifully designed house with frankly a ridiculous amount of space! It's also a 5 minute walk to the beach, which was incredibly fun. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

Brutally Hot
This property needs AC! The disclaimers were not true. The entire house was very uncomfortably hot every day and deep into the night. All the bedrooms and especially the main room were very HOT. This house needs to have AC added! the ventilation and the multiple fans did not cool the house to a livable level.
I am sorry you were uncomfortable, but AC adds about $100/night to the rent and the houses stay closed up and often get a mildew smell in the tropics. We prefer to keep the rent affordable and the house fresh smelling. People come to Kauai for the warm weather, but when guests come from 6000’ elevation like you did, it takes time to get used to.

Our week in paradise
The description of this property is perfect. We were here for a week of hot and sunny weather. During the day, the house was pretty toasty, but taking a cold shower before going to bed allowed for a restful sleep. The fans also muffled the ever-present crowing of roosters! There was beach gear in the garage that we used: beach chairs and some snorkeling equipment, among other items. Kitchen is well-equipped. Several times we walked the half block to the end of the road to see beautiful sunsets. The Poipu beach is only a five minute walk And Poipu is a perfect location for doing a variety of activities on the island. We began our vacation with a small boat excursion (6-person electrically powered catamaran) with Na’poli Experience and it was a great introduction to the island, even surpassing the helicopter ride we took the next day! We ended our trip with an excursion to Hanappepe, an historic town about 20 minutes way, where they have a Friday evening open house (5-8 pm) with stores, restaurants and galleries staying open late, feeling more authentic and local than the more touristy things we otherwise did while here.

The real Hawaiian experience!
We loved our stay here! The location couldn't have been better. If you want the real feel of living like a local this home will transport you there. Not having AC was not a problem as the winds blew every night and some nights I used blankets to cover up! The house is well ventilated and frankly so well built I could come downstairs for a late night snack and not wake a soul. THe rooms are large and the house is perfectly stocked! Make sure to buy a sugarloaf pineapple and some Koloa rum and make some Mai Tai's and walk the 30 yards to sit and enjoy the sunset on the waterfront as the waves crash. There is room to park one car in the garage and as well street parking was no problem. We had breakfast on the Lanai outside every morning as the birds and waves made for a perfect soundtrack. The garage was well stocked with beach chairs and toys, boogie boards, snorkel etc,. Some afternoons the house was a little warm as the sun reached the large windows but opening all the windows and letting the breeze flow made it comfortable. If you really want to experience Kauai as a local in luxury then this is the house for you! We will be back!

Wonderful home steps from the beach
What an amazing home! It’s a very short walk to Poipu Beach (best on the south shore) and close to dining/shopping options. We were 3 adults and 2 kids (ages 6 and 2). The house was perfect- lots of space to relax both indoors and outside on the lanai/grassy area (kids especially loved it). Kitchen is well stocked and they had beach items (chairs, coolers, etc). The rooms are spacious (we actually used the walk in closet for the baby to sleep in) and it was so handy each bedroom had its own bathroom, plus an extra bathroom!
Buzz was quick to reply to questions I had while booking. The property manager is now Parrish Kauai and they were fantastic during our stay! We had an issue with the key lock box upon check in (no fault of theirs, just a mechanical fluke) and they had someone out in minutes to fix it.
We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely be back! Thank you Buzz & Parrish Kauai!

Amazing location, excellent house
We loved our stay here. You’re just a few steps from the ocean with gorgeous sunsets each night. We saw a ton of sea turtles, monk seals, and fish at Poipu Beach (10 min walk with our slow kids) and loved boogie boarding at Brennecke’s (3 min walk). The house itself is very well appointed and just like the pictures show. We cooked a lot of our own meals and the kitchen has everything we need; you’re also a 5 min drive from lots of restaurants. The house can get a little warm mid-day (hopefully you’re outside then anyway) but it fully cools off at night with all the windows and fans. Highly recommended!

Location Location Location
We loved this place. We could walk to watch the beautiful sunset, see the sea turtles on the beach and walk to a couple beaches. The area is more like a local vib and not so much a tourist resort. We were there for a wedding so we visited family at a couple different resorts, condos and rentals but we would book this place again! Well stocked and clean. We enjoyed sitting out on the various patios and playing games at the table. We are an active family so we enjoyed hiking, snorkeling and boating. We did comment that if we had the grandparents with us they would have enjoyed hanging at the house. Nice place and I would totally recommend it.
Our ages are 58,59,25,22,26,24. No kids staying with us but our grandkids stopped by and it is great for kids too.

Perfect house and location
This was a last minute rental for our group as the previous rented home canceled us last minute. The saying, all things happen for a reason was a blessing as we found this perfect place! The home was very clean, had plenty of room for 6 adults with each bedroom having a bathroom! There was plenty of cookware and kitchen items. We loved the outdoor seating, plenty of it and very comfortable. The location was perfect, close to the beach where we swam and also watched sea turtles in a small bay along with the occasional sea lion sleeping. There were plenty of food trucks and restaurants close. The property manager and owner was very responsive as we needed an extra fan for one of the bedrooms and they brought it the same day! We would gladly stay here again on our next trip to this beautiful Kauai island!

Met all of Our Expectations!
I wanted a property for some relatives that had never been to Hawaii before that was near our condo in Poipu, Kauai...This home "checked all the boxes". It was beautiful, comfortable, one minute away from the best beach in Poipu (if you're a slow walker) and best of all, it was 150 feet away from our condo at Nihi Kai.
Buzz was very helpful and, unlike some dating services, the reality was better than the pictures.

Beautiful Home

Perfect home for a family vacation!
If you’re looking for a comfortable and spacious home within a 3 minute walk of the ocean, it doesn’t get better than this! We were 3 adults and 1 child and had plenty of space. The kitchen bar was a wonderful place to cook, talk and eat together. We loved the multiple lanais and my daughter loved doing cartwheels across the lawn. Incredible home just steps from the ocean
We come to Poipu every year for a week or so. We love Kauai and in particular the south shore. Up until now we’ve generally stayed at one of the Grand Hyatt Kauai. We were so impressed with Buzz’s house. It was maintained beautifully with attractive decor and furnishings. The house comes with almost everything you could need including snorkel supplies, beach chairs and boogie boards. The garden is lovely and allowed us to enjoy many of our meals on the lanai. We will definitely be back as this was a very special house and location.
Thank you for the kind words. For the record, we don’t provide snorkel gear (sanitary reasons) or boogie boards (insurance reasons) but sometimes previous guests leave them in the garage.

Beautiful house and location
The house was very spacious and bright with natural light. The rooms are separate from each other and very private. We loved how the kitchen opened up into the living room, it made every meal fun. We used the bbq and outdoor tables multiple times. Literally a block to the beach, a little further down has a surf spot and great snorkeling. about 4 blocks to a great restaurant and sandwich shop. We will definitely come back. We’ve been to Kauai 3 times now and this is our new favorite house and location.

Great house in great location
We really enjoyed the home and the close proximity to Poipu beach. We were 3 adult couples and the house was very roomy and well appointed. Each bedroom was large and had it’s own on-suite bathroom. Perfect location and well equipped home.
Quite neighborhood within seconds to the beach. The crashing waves will put you to sleep and the roosters will greet you in the morning. So much better than a resort environment if you’re looking to detach and relax on a beautiful island.

Fantastic base to see Kauai
Renting this property made our holiday! The house is lovely and has absolutely everything you need. The (very) nearby beach is one of the best on the island for snorkelling, surfing and seeing turtles. Would highly recommend this property.

Many great aspects, with a couple minor drawbacks
First, the positives: awesome location; spacious, well-laid-out house; very comfortable bedrooms; nice tradewinds upstairs.
The drawbacks, in order from least important to most:
-- bathrooms are very dated; fixtures can be tricky
-- the *primary* photo of the property prominently features a hammock. I realize this probably sounds petty, but we discussed relaxing in the hammock together. Unfortunately, there is no hammock. After sending email and voicemail, the property manager finally got back to us 24 hours later to say that the hammock broke recently and the property owner won’t be replacing it. Disappointing. And you need to update your listing to remove that photo, because it’s basically false advertising.
-- The property listing states the following: “Like most people, you immediately stare at the 14′ high vaulted wood ceiling. Then you open the five sliding doors into this great room and it is almost like living outdoors as the cooling trade winds that make Kauai so special waft through the room from three sides and the three ceiling fans cool the room further.” Unfortunately, we found this not to be true. The 3 fans in the great room barely rotate at all, and need to be replaced. The great room was sweltering for our entire stay. In contrast, the bedrooms were all super cool and comfortable, both because the trade winds are felt more on the 2nd floor and because all the bedroom fans work great.
Overall, we still give the property 4 stars. Working fans in the great room and a hammock, as promised by photos, would have resulted in 5 stars.
I wish this guest had called about the ceiling fans in the great room. The fans work great but the fast speed is on the bottom of the variable switch, not the top. About every two years a guest doesn’t discover this quirk.

Peaceful and Relaxing Holidays for the Family
We stayed over the Christmas holiday and it was everything that our extended family needed. We have been coming to the Poipu area for family vacations for the last 20+ years and this was by far the most relaxing stay. We really enjoyed being able to walk to Poipu Beach for a daily snorkel. The size of the house is wonderful -- enough room for the 5 of us (3 adults, 2 kids) and everyone had nice bathroom accommodations. The kitchen was ideal for preparing meals, including a large Christmas dinner. The wrap around lanais were perfect areas to relax and listen to the ocean and rain while reading. We can’t wait for our next trip -- we will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stay!
The home was everything we hoped for. Very comfortable for six adults. Walking distance to beaches and restaurants. We enjoyed our coffee on the front lanai each morning,while watching the neighborhood wake up. Turtles could be seen on the beach one house away. Only disappointment was that the hammock pictured was not available, everything else was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return again.

Beautiful property and great location
We loved our recent stay at this cottage in Kauai! We stayed with our family of 4 (my husband, myself and our two girls, 5 and 2) and my parents and it was so spacious. We loved the open space in the family room and kitchen! Not having a.c. was an adjustment at first but once we got the hang of opening the shutters on both sides of the bedrooms to get that cross-ocean breeze, we adjusted just fine and missed that ocean breeze once we came back to air-conditioned Colorado!
The house was more well stocked than we’d anticipated which was so great! There was laundry detergent, stain removal spray, extra paper towels and toilet paper, all the kitchen utensils you could need, dish soap, spices and canned goods in the cabinet from previous guests, hair dryers, coffee filters, boogie boards, snorkels, beach towels, tons of towels and wash cloths in the upstairs hallway linen closet, first aid kit, to-go coffee cups with lids, etc. We debated between the North shore and the South shore quite a bit and are so glad we stayed on the South shore. We did do a day at the North shore which we loved but it rained much more up there than where we were at. We had friends staying on the North shore the week after us (and a few days that crossed over our trip) and they said it was pouring most of the time, but it was mostly sunny on the South side.
We were a close drive to a lot of what we wanted to see, and walking distance from multiple great beaches, and literally a two minute walk from where we took our girls tide pooling several times throughout the trip! We loved Little Fish Coffee for great organic pour-over coffee and their açaí bowls (a 6 min drive), Uncle’s for shave ice (get macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom and coconut cream drizzled on top!) and honey toast (amaaaazing!!), Lappert’s for ice cream and the whole shopping center at Kukui’ula Village which had a farmer’s market on Wednesday and live musicians playing on Friday evening. Everything felt very mellow and local on the island which we loved. Speaking of that, if you meet a fellow named Royden, don’t be shy! He is super nice and such a joy to talk to! He helps out a friend of his who owns a nearby property so we met him one day and our chat with him is one of our favorite memories from our trip!
We would definitely stay at this property again and again! It is well-maintained and the whole process was smooth from start to finish and Buzz was always helpful and quick to respond!

I wish I could live here.
I spent 9 days in this house with my family and enjoyed every minute of it. It’s spacious and light filled and has a lovely Hawaiian vibe. It’s also so close to the water, you can hear the waves crashing at night. I’d return every year if I could.

Beautiful, Clean, Comfortable & Well-Managed
We have stay at Maluhia ma ka Honua a number of times in the past 17 years (!) and it remains one of our top vacation spots ever. This rental home has been well-kept over the years and by both owners and the long-time property managers. The location is phenomenal. It is less than a two mile walk to the southern tip beaches near the Hyatt and to PoiPu Beach and Baby Beach further north; and a short drive to what we think is the bet snorkeling on the island off Lawai Beach. There are great shops and restaurants of all price points and for all tastes in the area.
My only recommendation is that they swap out the twin beds in the upstairs bedrooms for two full/double size beds as that bedroom can easily accommodate two of the larger size – people teenage and older would be more comfortable.

Great House close to Poipu Beach
We took our kids and in laws with us and this house accommodated us very well and was a great value! The owners had extra beach toys, chairs, and fins for snorkeling. Perfect location near the water!

3rd time staying in this beautiful home
Home is everything you need for a family vacation. Great for little ones as well as adults. It is equipped with everything you need for preparing meals, a BBQ on the patio. 3 large bedrooms give everyone their privacy but join in the great room for activities. Early walk to the beach just a house away and stroll over to Brenneke’s Beach where there is grass areas with picnic tables, sand and shallow water for small children to play. Brenneke’s Bar is across the street with 2 happy hours every day. The Sea Lions come up on the sand every afternoon for a nap and the Sea Turtles walk up on the sand as the sun goes down. Will stay here again on future trips!

Exceeded our expectations! In a picturesque setting with spectacular views of Poipu Beach!
The home is big and spacious and all the comforts of home . With awesome views of Poipu Beach from the top master balcony, wrap around covered patio where you can sit in the mornings and drink cup of coffee and feel the trade winds move through out the house. 2 Master bedrooms with full and spacious bathrooms and the other bedroom is a nice size. A total of 4 bathrooms a full laundry room with a sink .Full kitchen with modern appliances for The chef in the family. We used the BBQ that’s located on the back patio many times works awesome. Fantastic location
We were 3 couples spending a week at this lovely home. Spacious bedrooms all with their own bath, open floor plan downstairs, patio area around the house on 3 sides with lots of comfortable furniture. Everything you could need to enjoy your stay is provided. The location of the house is fabulous! A short walk to the end of the block where you can watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. A little further is Brenneke’s Beach- our favorite spot. A beautiful beach, grassy and tree shaded areas with picnic tables and benches. Across the street is Brenneke’s bar/restaurant and a really nice, well stocked deli. We had sandwiches made there for a road trip to Waimea Canyon and they were delicious. Wonderful house
Wonderful house that is very close to the beach. Plenty of room for a family of six. Neighborhood was very quiet at night so with the windows open you could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Everything was provided so all we needed to bring was our clothes and food.

Great layout and plenty of room for 6. You can hear the waves and the beach is a short walk!
We enjoyed every minute of staying here. The house is perfect for 6. We ate outside on the lanai every night and enjoyed walking to the beach every day. The area is quiet and yet close enough to Brenneke’s to get great food.

Great location, comfortable home
We love this home and have stayed in it many times. The location is 1/2 block from the ocean, with views from the upstairs master. The great room has a high, beamed ceiling and is traditional Hawaiian. Even though there is no AC, breezes blow through at night and keep you comfortable. The back yard is large and a great place to view sunsets. The owners are helpful and attentive. Great vacation property!

Awesome house !!!
We just returned from staying in your house for a week. We have a family of 5 adults and we all loved it!! You house is so comfortable, well stocked and wonderful for family’s. A Perfect Home for Our Family Vacation
My husband and I travel a lot and have rented many homes and I must say this home was the most well stocked and most comfortable property we have ever rented. For our 10 day stay, we took the downstairs master and let our adult children, spouses and toddler take the two rooms upstairs. The kids stayed up late and although our room was located off the main living area, it was peaceful and quiet in our room. I loved that there were 4 full bathrooms giving us 4 showers to use. The kitchen is well laid out and large enough to enable everyone to help with meal prep -- so much fun! And -- there are even table linens! We played games every night comfortably nesting in beautiful couches and chairs or sitting around the large glass table and walked to the beach each night to watch the sunset. The grassy yard was a hit too as our sons tossed around the football while we grilled and played with our granddaughter. Because our party included a toddler we didn’t want to be right on the water yet we didn’t want to be far away either. The location was absolutely perfect and very walk able. Close enough to the beach to come back and forth for lunch, naps, etc. We rented a Pack n Play and backpack which were waiting in the house when we arrived. Everything was just perfect -- it was so hard to leave!

STEPS TO BEACH!!
Our family of 6 had a fantastic vacation in this clean well equipped and organized home. Spacious comfortable rooms to provide privacy when needed. Comfortable lawn furniture and large yard to hang out. Steps away from both Brennecke and Poipu Beaches. To top it off Buzz was efficient and helpful with our booking arrangements from the start.

Great Location, Great Property!
We had a blast at this place. It’s provisioned great for a family with young kids. Close to the beach and very peaceful with large open areas to gather with you family. Their housekeeping was amazing, the place was spotless. The kitchen was also the best I have ever seen for a vacation rental, there wasn’t one thing I wanted that wasn’t there! We would love to come back!

My new home (I wish :-))
I grew up in Hawaii and over the years have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals on various islands. I’m always searching for that perfect balance of vacation luxury in a place that still feels local and ‘connected’ to the spirit of the islands — a wonderful, unique and magical place that I still think of as home. This is the place of my dreams! And let me tell you, I usually stay places and say ‘this part is great, but I would change this, or knock out that wall and move that’. I was ready to move in here with no changes at all! Buzz, if you ever sell, give me a call ????
A beautiful home with plenty of space for everyone to both gather and also be a bit apart when you need to. Well-laid out, such beautiful and relaxing surroundings, and so close to the incredible beauty and beaches of Poipu (easy to walk to so many things) and everything the south shore has to offer.
One tiny wish would be for the 3rd bedrooms to have Twin XL beds rather than regular twins (for those longer teenage bodies), but that is microscopic compared to how amazing everything was. We can’t wait to come back!

Thank you for the great review, we are happy you enjoyed your stay. You are correct about the house, there is something magically Hawaiian about it, perhaps it was the blessings when it was built and the Ti leaves in the doorway cement.
Regarding the twin XL beds, you are correct they would be better. But I have never seen twin XL sheets or mattress pads on Kauai so we have to keep the regular twin beds.

Perfect rental
This home has everything. Private bathrooms in each room. Garage parking, close to beach, large yard, beautiful tropical interior, outdoor seating for everyone and much more. Owners indicate they don’t provide beach items but previous house guests leave them and they are available for free use (boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs).Owners are prompt with responses and refunding deposit $. We woke up to the sounds of birds singing with to the ocean waves. We could watch the ocean from our bed. There is no A/C but as long as the windows are opened you’ll enjoy the ocean breeze to keep cool. We saw seals and tons of turtles at nearby beaches. We drove all over the island and checked out lots of beaches. Had a great dinner at Keoki’s Paradise and shopped in Koloa.

Fantastic vacation rental
As soon as we walked through the front door, we knew this rental was perfect for us. The clean, spacious great room with the plantation style ceiling was well ventilated with plenty of windows, and a total of 5 sliding glass doors that led to lanai space which completely surround it. Kona coffee in the morning on the east side lanai followed by barbecuing on the west side lanai in the evening made for excellent use of the outdoor space. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens (including beach towels) to go around. The downstairs laundry room was also very convenient. The three bedrooms each had their own bathrooms, which made the house well suited for families or 3 adult couples. The location in Poipu made it very easy to access beaches, restaurants, and shopping. All in all, our vacation in Kauai was one for the ages, and this house was a big part of that equation. There are many other items that we could mention, but the online photos for the property reveal these features. We would definitely come back to this house again and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you Mr. Wisda for providing this wonderful home for us.

Great place!
Our family of five had a wonderful spring break vacation here. The accommodations were very comfortable. A very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed boogie boarding with boards in the garage. Thanks for the memories!

Fantastic home, great location, well stocked.
This is a home I will be renting again. House is very large…much bigger than the pictures show. We had 3 generations staying in the home and plenty of space. Ocean views from the 2 upstairs bedrooms. Huge grassy front yard for kids to run around, gas BBQ, games, dvds, and prior guests had even left some beach toys. I’ve rented many houses and this is by far the best stocked…plenty of towels (bath & beach), reading material, and every kitchen item necessary. The house is very well maintained and clean. Tons of windows and fans for when it gets warm outside. Also a two car garage. The house is close to a great, casual restaurant Brennecke’s (try the Kahlua pork nachos) and the best macadamia nut pancakes at Joe’s on the Green. We found 2 baby beaches close by (Poipu State Beach and one near Sprouting Horn) plus plenty of fun shopping. Old Town Kapaa is very close and fun to walk around. Lihue is a quick 25 minute drive for the Kauai Plantation Railroad. Top rated Beach House restaurant is a quick drive…great view but very mediocre food (wouldn’t go back).

The perfect choice.
Our entire family agreed that we couldn’t have found a more perfect home for our Poipu vacation. This spacious home is full of light, the sounds of the waves and surrounded by lovely flowering landscaping. The furnishings and décor impart the spirit of Kauai while being comfortable and conducive to family gathering and conversation. Each of the bedrooms offer plenty of space for a little private time or a nap, and with four bathrooms, there was never any waiting to get a shower or bath. As is mentioned in numerous reviews, the location of the house is ideal. We especially loved that the entry is on a side street that has much less traffic than the main drive along the shore, which was less worrisome for us with an active 2 year old. With numerous outdoor seating options, there is always a place with shade or sun, and the yard was always active with birds. Having a garage was handy as well, and we found everything we needed there, such as beach chairs, coolers and toys. This house is so easy to be in….. everything is where you’d think it might be, the fan and light switches are all labeled to make comfort control easy, and the living room is well stocked with music, games and videos. I was especially glad that we didn’t have to lug our dominoes all the way from the mainland! We’re already talking about our next trip to Poipu, but won’t buy the plane tickets until we book this beautiful home.

Great location, wonderful house.
So thrilled with our stay at this fabulous home. First, it does feel like home- and an upscale one at that! There is so much room to spread out, the bedrooms are well laid out and the walls of sliding glass doors brings the natural light and air inside. The landscaping is beautifully maintained and the kids loved having breakfast at on the lanai while listening to, and watching the multitude of birds that seemed to gather every morning. In fact, the bird song that greeted you every morning (minus the occasional rooster) and made you feel like you were in an aviary is one of the things I missed most on coming home.
There are plentiful blankets, pillows, towels, beach towels- those kinds of things can be annoying if they aren’t present, but this house is well stocked to take care of your family.
The kitchen is also well-stocked and clean. I didn’t do a lot of cooking or entertaining, but it certainly looked like you could if you chose to. Next time (oh, yes, we are already planning), we will take advantage of the gas grill on the lanai, as well, with a little more advanced planning.
The location is fantastic. The crashing surf is heard throughout the house with doors and windows open, but is not so loud as it would be if you were right on the beach. The walk to the nearest spot on the coast is seconds- less than 1/2 block. This spot has no beach, but the kids LOVED to explore the rocks and tidepools here so it made a great, short walk in the evenings for that entertainment and to watch the sunset. Brennecke’s beach is just a bit further down- maybe a minute or two. This beach has a sandy inlet surrounded by rocks. It’s good for boogie boarding, but had some pretty big, hard waves that were intimidating for my kids. So a 5 minute walk further down brought us to Poipu beach. This is where we spent our beach days.
We took advantage of the boogie boards and sand toys in the garage (thank you!) for that. So nice to have those there and it was still a pretty easy walk for our family (including a grandma and kids 6,8) to the nice, calm, sandy Poipu beach.
The photos don’t quite do justice to this property. I had that ‘this is perfect’ feeling the whole time I was there and honestly, the price isn’t much more than a room at the Grand Hyatt and we (6) were in a QUIET area and could prepare meals.
The owner called me after my initial inquiry and was super friendly and helpful and I would recommend a stay here without hesitation (just don’t take my days ???? )

This was our first time to stay in a VRBO rental. Our daughters (ages 22 and 24) were skeptical since we usually stay at a resort and they enjoy all the services offered at that type of location. (Prior to booking I discussed these concerns with the owner and he assured me that I wouldn’t be disappointed with his VRBO.) I have to admit I was a little nervous as we approached the house but all of my fears were soon relieved. Not only that, but everything was BEYOND my hopes. As we did our initial walk-through, my daughters kept saying, “Mom you scored!!” Each daughter had her own upstairs bedroom/bathroom allowing privacy so it was perfect place for a family with young adults. My husband and I would have been content just to stay in the Poipu area but we ventured out every day (deep sea fishing, zip lining, helicopter tour) and this house was close to everything. We usually enjoy eating out but the kitchen was so completely equipped and is located in the center of the house so we fixed most of our meals there. (Best tuna and mahi mahi that I have ever had -and, we caught it on our fishing trip!) We had long leisurely dinners telling stories and laughing about family memories. Then, we would grab our drinks and walk to the end of the street to watch the turtles and the sunset. The check out time seemed fairly early (especially since we had a night flight) but we solved that issue by making reservations at the Hyatt spa. We each had a treatment and were able to use the facilities for the entire day. Then, we showered and were rested, relaxed, and clean for our long night flight home. The only suggestion I have would be to somehow illuminate the house number. We arrived after dark and were somewhat lost in the neighborhood for a few minutes trying to find the house. Our GPS took us on a slightly different route than the one listed on our confirmation which added to the confusion. As we pulled away, both daughters said they only want to stay in a VRBO rental from now on during vacations. However, I know they got spoiled by staying here. And, the best think is that my husband tells me he can’t wait to go back!!

Awesome family vacation
We stayed 7 nights here June 2nd through the 9th and it was way too short. The house was so well equipped with everything you could imagine. So much space and we really enjoyed the big grassy back yard with the BBQ. We would cook out and the kids would run around and play. We walked to Berne keys beach to boogie board in the mornings and it was awesome. The owner was great to work with and though we had a couple of hiccups, the management company was on it right away. I would highly recommend this house and we hope to be back someday.

Christmas in Kauai
Thank you so much for allowing our family to be your guest over Christmas 2011 in this spectacular house. The six of us could not have been more comfortable; the bedrooms were huge and airy, the living/dining/kitchen area is set up perfectly, and the 4 baths was exactly what was needed to get us out of the house in the morning.
This was our 4th trip to Hawaii (both our daughters went to school breifly at U of H) and this was by far out best experience. Kauai is a beautiful island, with plenty to see and do without the crowds and associated mayhem associated with Oahu and Maui.

WE all had a great time and your house was perfect in every way. This is the fourth time we’ve traveled together and one of the best places so far for providing everything we needed! And we do mean everything!!! We fixed several meals and it was so nice to find all the spices we needed and cooking utensils, dishes and pots and pans! Also all the various items in the garage for using at the beautiful beach just a few steps away!!! The house was very clean and comfortable. Loved the views from upstairs and feel so blessed to have spent the week in your beautiful home!

The house was perfect for our family. The set up is perfect with a bathroom for every bedroom, well supplied kitchen, great family/dining room. The lanai was perfect for morning breakfast and evening wine, and the kids loved the yard. We explored the island, but our favorite spot was poipu snorkeling with the beautiful fish, turtles and monk seals and this beautiful house. We were so sad to leave, but are looking forward to our next trip. I highly recommend this property.

I would love to come back here!
Fabulous property! Very close to beach. One of the best sea turtle watching spots is only a few hundred yards away. House is stocked with everything you need -- washer/dyer & detergent, full kitchen (utensils, pots & pans, tableware, coffee maker, spices, etc.), barbecue, wireless internet, tv & stereo, etc. Coolers and boogie boards are in the garage so save yourself some money by stopping at the Costco by the airport and stocking up on the basics. We ate breakfast at “home” every day and saved quite a bit of money and time.
Accommodations were very comfortable. We had six adults were in our party. There is a nice breeze. It was much more economical to stay here than at a hotel, but we also felt more comfortable with plenty of room to relax. Everyone wanted to come back!

Outstanding! We spent 15 great nights here in July 08. Couldn’t ask for a better place and the proximity to good beaches is excellent. Our 22 month old grandson was fascinated with the geckos (all outside). And….can’t beat the Lanai (and I spent a lot of time on my b.. there). Thanks for helping us to have a great family vacation.

in August 08. It is beautifully furnished, very comfortable with three
master suites. Our bedroom had a deck and
we could see and hear the ocean. We attended a wedding at the Sheraton. Many
of the other guests rented homes, some
which were fancier and on the beach, but
I think ours was the best located and the best price for the amenities. This house also has a supply of fins, snorkels, etc. for the guests usage which the other homes did not have. It

I don’t think there is enough room here to say all
the positive things we would like to about our stay
at this amazing property. The pictures here just
don’t do it justice. From the second we entered the
property we felt right at home. This house was so
comfortable, spacious and relaxing. The owners
exceeded our expectations on every level.
Absolutely everything was already there at our
disposal from the snorkeling and beach gear in the
garage, to the full supply of beach towels and
completely stocked kitchen. We decided 5 minutes
after walking in that we would make this our only
option for return visits! Our family agreed. They
were staying at other properties nearby and were
all unanimous in their decisions to make this home
their destination on their next visits! The location
was even better then we anticipated also. You are
within walking distance to all of the great beaches,
golfing, and shopping in poipu without some of the
noise and distractions of some of the nearby
resorts. Jim, you have done a fantastic job at
making you guests feel like they are “right at
home”. We look forward to coming back again and
again.

We want to thank you and your wife for renting your lovely home to us last week in Kauai. We had a wonderful time, and it was great being so close to the beach yet off the road. The boogie boards and sand toys were very handy, as was being able to come back home to four showers!
