Princeville House
This is a clean, large home that has multiple spaces/options for a large group. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. An important thing to know about this property is that all of the bedrooms are downstairs and the kitchen is upstairs (relatively steep stairs). The property management was extremely responsive to problems. Princeville is a remote residential community. This wasn’t something I properly researched before arriving.

Aloha Jessica for your review and comments. We are happy that you enjoyed the home. The North Shore and Princeville are quieter than the South Shore and Poipu Resort area. Many homes on Kauai have the bedrooms downstairs and living spaces upstairs. We understand that this type of floorplan is not ideal for all guests, which is why these are details that we have in all the listing pages. Next time, please let us know if you need a single level home. We will help find the perfect space for your family. We are glad that our team was able to help you feel at home. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Mahalo and a hui hou!

Beautiful home with lots of space for your family and friends to dine, relax and play together. We loved the numerous sitting areas and had plenty of room to hang out, read a book, play games, and enjoy a meal together. In particular the lanai upstairs and the sunrooms get great evening breezes and have terrific views. We loved the sparkling pool (with waterfall) and hot tub. Landscaping is terrific — we saw some coconuts and papayas on the trees! And unlike other rental properties we’ve visited, the home was beautifully furnished top to bottom. The owners are terrific hosts, providing some local tips and books. Parrish Kauai was terrific as well–so friendly and responsive. Thank you for a terrific stay! We’ll be back soon.

Excellent place for families or groups traveling together
This was our first visit to Kauai so I do not have a basis to compare the location to others on the island. That said we loved the north shore even though the water is rough in winter. The house worked well for us. Our party was two couples and a family of three with a young child. The arrangement of bedrooms and bathrooms served us well and gave everyone privacy when it was desired. The activity spaces on the ground floor and the second floor provided lots of room for separate or joint activities. I particularly liked the deck on the second floor for quiet mornings looking out over the large open green area of grass, trees and birds. Watching the sun come up and splash the mountains with light from the deck was the perfect way to start the day. The deck was good for star watching at night as well. The only concern was the amount of noise that traveled between the floors making it difficult to sleep if there was lots of activity on the second floor. A vegetable peeler would have been nice, too.

Mahalo Colin for your review. Sounds like you really got to enjoy all of the home. You cannot go wrong on Kauai but do suggest you try the South Shore as well. Each is special in its own way. Usually we do supply a peeler, so thanks for the heads up. We will be sure to get one right away. Aloha and we look forward to hosting you again soon. A hui hou!

One week for 8 people ages 68 to 2
This 2 story house was excellent all 8 people. Plenty of room for all and the pool and spa are really nice especially after hiking and the beaches. The Princeville Center is close enough to walk if you choose. The beds in all 4 bedroom are excellent. Huge water heater. Hanalei is a short drive and many beaches in the area. Parking can be an issue at some beaches. A must is Kee beach and a trip up the Na Pali coast. A strenuous hike but you will love the pictures. Plenty of utensils for cooking, plenty of beach towels, washer and dryer, TVs, land phone line, WIFI, pool table, and a huge yard and park for kids running around. No AC but the house cools down with the windows open and the normal gentile breeze. You can use the garage if you choose. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

Good Place for Kids
Swimming pool and full sized pool table plus 4 bedrooms were real pluses as was location. The only drawback, to me, was the upstairs kitchen. We (3 adults, 2 kids) would recommend and rent this place again.

Lovely home, great value
This is a lovely home, situated with views of the mountains, providing us an opportunity to watch the changing weather of Kauai right from our comfy couches. We’ve spent a good deal of time feeling the breeze and sun from the lanai, which looks out over a grassy park and the private pool. The house has ample communal space for multiple activities of a larger group, and is also full of comfortable nooks to tuck away from the crowd. Though we had no children with us, we commented often on the opportunities for kids: Pool table, swimming pool, a park next door with room to throw a frisbee, basket ball court across the way from the park. We experienced multiple beautiful hikes and beaches within a 1/2 hour drive, and were also delighted we could get to so many places walking: 3 different beaches, a cute shopping center for groceries with nice shops, plus a nearby playground. Hanalei is a jump down the road, with a good array of shops and restaurants (check out “Postcards Cafe” – yum).
