Room 233 at Waikomo stream Villas

We enjoyed our stay. It is about 3-5 min drive to Poipu beach. The place was nice and spaces. Our washer and dryer was not working which was something we needed to wash and dry our clothes and towels after beach days. Unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay our kids were looking forward to it and we were looking forward to the hot tub. Overall it is a nice place to stay. One thing I would like to have are board games.

The location was very good. Parking not a problem. Disappointed with the cleanliness of the place. Lots of stains in the carpet and the place in general needed a deep cleaning. Couches and pillows dingy as well. Upstairs bathroom had unpleasant smell. Swimming pool was inoperable the days we were there and reopened the day we left so we were unable to use it at all. This was not the original schedule it was supposed to be cleaned on. Washer/ dryer were not working in the unit so we got to do no laundry. When I contacted the office about this, they mentioned an email that had gone out a month before our stay. Which in itself is unacceptable to have a washer and dryer broken for that long. The new ones were not even to be delivered until mid May. This place could have been so much nicer if not for these deficiencies and better attention paid.

We are sorry to hear that the cleanliness of the unit did not meet your expectations. We take great pride in ensuring that our properties are well-maintained and comfortable for our guests. We would have been happy to address any issues with housekeeping had we been made aware of them during your stay. Regarding the pool closure, we understand that it was disappointing for you and apologize for any inconvenience it caused. Unfortunately, sometimes maintenance issues arise unexpectedly, and we do our best to notify guests as soon as possible. We\'re glad to hear that the pool was reopened in time for the next guests to enjoy. As for the washer and dryer, we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. Parrish's place is well located and is fitted out with most of the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. What is not visible in the photos however, is the deeply embedded dust in all the bedding, lounges and carpet. It is immediately detectable as soon as you enter the property. Addittionally, the two single beds in the open loft (not a bedroom) are topped with old foam mattresses - not suitable for a comfortable sleeping and may even pose a fire risk. Parrish really needs to do something drastic about the carpets throughout the property and the furnishing as our family had no choice but to leave due to asthma and high allergy to dust mites. Our adult daughter has back issues and the bedding was inadequate. On a side matter, Parrish prefers to communicate via emails and text messages, which we have found to be a bit concerning as Airbnb reccommends communications to be through its portal. I would not reccommend this property to anyone visiting Kauai.

We believe your 1-star review is unwarranted considering the opinion on the beds is more a reflection of your personal needs, the open loft is disclosed in the listing, and you are exaggerating the dust etc. We immediately offered to have housekeeping come over to address any of the issues you listed, but you refused and decided to leave the property early and have been demanding a full refund on your stay. We tried to immediately work with you, but you refused us entry to address your concerns. Airbnb’s policy is that we are to be given the opportunity to rectify any issues. On communication, we do respond through the portal, but also use email and text as well for simplicity which is normal operating procedure these days.

Kaua'i Condo Poipu

The property was beautiful and spacious. The high location and landscaping gave great privacy and a jungle canopy feeling. In my opinion being a short distance from most of the Poipu resorts is a great benefit. The condo was a pleasant running or walking distance from all of the beaches in Poipu except maybe Shipwreck beach. A very pleasant surprise was the beautiful shopping and dining area a couple hundred yards away from the entrance to the condos. The ample parking and convenient location slightly away from the tourist crowds were some of the best features.

I can recommend staying at this pleasant, well-equipped Airbnb. It was in a great location, not far from Poipu Beach and around 1 hour to Waimea Canyon and the north. We also enjoyed the decent sized swimming pool

This is a great condo. The place is located right next to the poipu shopping complex with lots of shopping and restaurants right next to the property. There is no ac in the condo which is not necessarily a problem as there is a ton of ventilation throughout the condo. However, the master bedroom does get a bit warm at night as the air does not flow as well through that space. That is the only complaint about the property as everything else was perfect for our needs! Highly recomend going down to poipu beach in the mornings and seeing the wild life there!

Great accommodation

This rental was a great size. Only my husband and I stayed there, but there is room for more in the upstairs loft. The kitchen was very well equipped and the lanai was perfect for sitting around any time of day. The condo is also walking distance to a shopping center with shops, restaurants, a drug store and a grocery store. It's also a short distance from additional restaurants and some great sunset-watching beaches.

Unit 233

The unit is in good shape and quite large. We had two adults and kids aged 9 and 11. It is close walking distance to a mall with good shops and restaurants. You can walk to Poipu Beach but it’s about 15 minutes so it’s easier to drive. I read a lot of reviews about the loud bull frogs. They were not too loud from unit 233 but that unit had its own issues with loud birds at sun down and sun rise for about 30 minutes. We encountered the same bird in Maui. It wasn’t a big deal. The pool is nice. The BBQ area is decent. Attractive grounds.

We had such an amazing stay ay Waikomo Stream Villas! The location was awesome and our villa was very roomy with lots of awesome amenities. I know the listing doesn’t include a hot tub, however, there was a hot tub attached to the pool in the villa common area. We were so excited to use it when we arrived but quickly realized it was not warm. We talked to two different people at the front desk at Waikomo Stream but they were never able to get the hot tub working. That truly would have been the cherry on top of a perfect trip!

Excellent

We loved staying at this property, thank you for sharing it with us. Everything was as described in VRBO posting , unit is stocked with everything needed for a great Hawai’i vacation. The only downside were some noisy birds that kept waking us up at various times through the nights.

Novella works in the office at Waikomo. She is always friendly and welcoming. Is a wealth of information about Kauai. We had a bit of trouble getting reservations understanding that there were two separate reservations. It took a number of phone calls and emails to get them to separate our reservation from our son’s. We had geckos, which we understand are on Kauai. We had an issue with the turning on the main shower. It works, but you should not have pull so hard to turn the shower on that you have to brace your feet.

Lovely Villa!

A lovely, spacious, well kept villa in a nice location. Everything you need is provided. Beautiful kitchen. Snorkelling gear. Close to the beach and eateries. Loved our stay! The only thing that was slightly annoying was the noisy frogs in the stream within the complex. Apart from that, I would definitely recommend to others wishing to explore the south coast of Kaui. The concierge of the complex is also very friendly and helpful.

Not Really, Bullfrogs, Parking Lot and Blowers

Our lanai garden view consisted of the Koloa Landing buildings and parking lot next door. You hear the cars and conversations as they come and go. At night the bullfrogs in the stream don’t ever shut up. All four of us had trouble sleeping and were ready to go hunting. Before considering this unit, listen to a bullfrog croaking on YouTube and then multiple it by ten. We were offered earplugs for the noise, seriously!!! The condo was spacious but the kitchen cupboards are very high and you need a ladder to get and put away the dishes. We used the outdated WiFi information provided by Parrish for the first few days until I complained. Seems the internet equipment was updated but they didn’t bother to change their guest handbook. Handbook also had many restaurants that have been closed. We liked the location and the pool area. Towels and linens were adequate but no replacement trash bags and one small packet of laundry detergent. Our 11 day stay required us to buy both. We will not return to this condo or the Waikomo Stream complex.

Sometimes, people just do not respect condo living. The bull frogs are a know part of the nature at Waikomo. We do supply earplugs for those that it bothers. That seems to do the trick. Again, we apologize on the disruption. We are sorry we did not have the wi-fi info updated for you. Island wide is getting upgraded and we had not gotten all the printed materials into all the units yet. We are discontinuing the guest book updates as most people now rely on APPS, Google and other sources. We do supply bags and detergent and more is available for longer stays at our front desk. We are sorry to hear you will not return to Waikomo, but hope to host you again elsewhere. Aloha.

Great property, close to the beach. Amazing location!

Beautiful complex and unit. The pictures don’t do it justice. Very clean. Plenty of towels and bedding. Even included nice beach towels. Great location, close to everything yet feels very secluded. Could walk to the beach. Lots of nice walking trails. Surrounded by nice complexes. Lots of dining options. Nice pool just a little cold. Would have enjoyed a hot tub. Kitchen well equipped, great start up products. We were here with kids over Christmas. Plenty of space and we were able to enjoy great beaches and explore the island.

Beautiful and spacious

Beautifully appointed and spacious unit on 3rd floor. The patio feels like your in a treehouse. Lots of quality beach toys. Pool is nearby. Great to have in unit washer/dryer. Great shopping and restaurants within 5 min. walk. Access to kayak harbor, 5 min. walk and swimming beach, 10 min.

Superbe logement à 2 pas de Poipu Beach

We're just home yesterday and are already planning our trip back!

NOTE: The photo showing an ocean view is out-dated! Another hotel has been built directly across from the unit and you have a view of the parking lot between the two buildings. For the price, I have no complaints, but I was surprised! We stayed for a week in this unit with our two kids and also rented a 1-bedroom unit in the same complex for Grandma & Grandpa. Unit 233 was perfect for the four of us with the kids in the loft upstairs with their own bathroom. The decor was simple and just what we needed. We were very happy with the the kitchen and the washer-dryer and we used the BBQ grill twice. The location was great in the winter with the south shore beaches being calm enough for us to snorkel daily. I was glad I brought my earplugs as the frogs were quite loud and kept me awake the first night; but by the end of the week, I’d gotten used to them and slept fine.

The Perfect Place in Paradise

Waikomo Stream Villas is an amazing experience which I would whole-heartedly recommend to any of my friends considering staying on beautiful Kaua’i. The two-floor unit we rented was spacious, well-decorated, overlook a spectacular garden, and had great air flow. Our unit also had a view of the ocean. Located in Poipu, roughly equidistant from the far extremes of the island’s roadways at Waimea Canyon and Ke’e Beach, the property is perfectly situated in an area which also has reliably good weather for the island. Of course, one of the best things about the unit is the price. At under $200 a night, Waikomo Villas is an excellent bargain in a state famous for being excessively expensive. Furthermore, repeat customers get an automatic discount on subsequent stays. My family and I have stayed there twice now, and can’t imagine staying anywhere else on our next trip to the US’s fiftieth state.

Can't believe I got this room for only 99 bucks!

If you’re like me and like to hunt around for the best deals then this is THE one. I’ve looked around travelocity, expedia, kayak, you name it. This place is unbelievably cheap and so nice to stay at for a vacation. It’s like a beach/townhouse. The view of the ocean was so relaxing, the location between Lihue and Waimea is perfect for those wishing to stay on the south shore. People in the town nearby, i forget the name, are super friendly and offered so many places to find the best local grinds- saimin, poke, laulau, ah man:) Sleeping at night or day is so quiet and relaxing AND i got this cheaper price because they said they were doing construction- the most i heard was a few guys talking! There’s a pool to float around in or the beach a quick 15 minute walk away. I’ll be staying here whenever i come back to kauai.
