Lovely condominiums. Well maintained!! We loved our week at Poipu Kapili. Good location. Close to Allerton Gardens, the Canyon and not a bad drive to Smith Family Luau.

Overall the unit was nice. The location is beautiful and the grounds are impeccable. The unit needs some updated appliances to make it worth 10 stars. When vacation for long periods of time, a functional kitchen is necessary.

Great property - unit needs updating

Stayed for close to 3 weeks. Having no A/C wasn't a problem, as with the doors open there was plenty of breeze The property is beautiful and is a great location. The unit layout/size was great and had lots of beach supplies to use. Unfortunately the unit needs updating. The oven/cooktop are original, as our the bathrooms. With some investment it would be a 5 Star

Great location!

Loved this place. Wish I could have stayed longer. My husband complained about not having AC but I found it to actually get cold at night. There were plenty of fans in the condo as well.

Clean, spacious, comfortable with all the extras

It was a well maintained property. It was peaceful and quite with all the comforts of home. This property had two large decks. And a large master bedroom and bath. We slept with the doors open each night and we could hear the ocean each evening.

Unit 28 is private and comfortable

The ocean view is breathtaking. Sea breezes are a delight. I loved falling asleep to the sound of waves.

大満足です。

???? 開放感が抜群です。お部屋、バスルームの広さも申し分なく、お部屋の中で迷子になるくらい。バスタブが大きいので、アロマキャンドルをたいて皆で入りました。冷蔵庫、洗濯機などの設備は比較的新しく充実していました。建物は古いですが、気にならないくらいの快適感でした。 ???? エレベーターの調子が良くなかったのか、ドアが閉まらなかったり、開かなかったり。動いてもかなりゆっくりなので、急いでいるときは少々困りました。
良いニュース、新しいエレベーターは2019年に設置されます。

Beautiful view and location, uncomfortable beds and ants

The view from the condo is amazing, and the location is extremely convenient. There’s a Longs Drugs and a shopping center down the street. Unfortunately the condo had ants, tiny little ants everywhere. It was on our night stand, on the bed, ended up in our infants pack and play, in the living room… everywhere. If you left any food or seeet drinks unattended for more than 10min they were all over it. I called the front office and was told it was due to the weather (rain) and that they could call pest control to spray the unit, but having an infant with us we decided against it. The beds were also extremely hard. If you like firm beds then these will be great. The description has a sofa bed, but it is actually an airmattress. My sister used the airmattress and she is thin about 120lbs and she had to reinflate the airmattress in the middle of the night. Other than in the kitchen, the counters are all extremely low. I’m an average height of 5’6” and the countertops in the bathrooms were unnaturally low. The layout of the condo is very nice, rooms are large and each room had its own bathroom. You get one assigned parking spot and there is open parking by the front office. All in all, for the price it was an ok spot but I don’t think I would rent this unit again.

We do regular treatment, but sometimes additional is needed to combat them. Sorry for any confusion, but we do not advertise a sofa bed in this unit. We will check the air mattress for leaks. Unsurpassed View!

The view alone from Unit 28 is worth it! This is a two bedroom, two bath penthouse suite with a full ocean view directly from livingroom, master bedroom, and deck. There were a few things about the unit I was disappointed in -- no air conditioning. The layout of the unit is created to capture the crosswinds. Every room has large sliding glass doors with screens and louvered sliding door coverings, so if you keep everything open 24 hours a day, there is a cooling breeze. It wasn’t very well supplied -- only three folding beach chairs -- when it is advertised to sleep six. No grass mats, only four beach towels. No condiments in the kitchen except for salt and pepper. Could not get the oven to work -- no directions to be found. No toaster oven. The t.v./cable in the livingroom was extremely balky. It went out on the first day. Had to have manager come up to fix it, she had to reset and wait, took about 15 minutes. She was very nice, came up immediately. Even after that, the t.v. went out two more times for hours at a time. Basically it worked sporadically. They have different cable in the two bedrooms, those t.v.s worked fine. This probably sounds like I am nit-picking -- but, I just like to know the downside as well as the wonderful before I make a reservation, then I feel like I’ve make an informed decision knowing what to expect. The grounds are well maintained and nicely landscaped. The people in the office were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again!

Perfect location, but not for indoor time

Stay here for the perfect location in Poipu with a walk across the street for sunsets on the rock wall, easy access to shops & restaurants, and lots of nearby golf. Despite the current construction, it was also quite quiet. Do NOT stay here if you want to cook or you anticipate spending much time indoors. The kitchen is outdated and poorly-stocked, the decor is odd (huge insect “art” in the dining area?!), uncomfortable seating, and the beds are extremely hard.
Mahalo Melissa for your review. I did want to let you know that we have taken an inventory of the kitchen and loaded up a few extra items to make it more user friendly. We apologize for any discomfort and will certainly monitor things to see if anything needs to be addressed as we have not gotten other comments about the furniture or bedding.
