Amazing Location

The property is off the beaten path if you’re looking for privacy and the perfect location. Rent a 4x4 vehicle. The upstairs house was clean. It had everything needed in the kitchen. The bottom had construction debris which should have been cleaned up. The furniture needs updating especially in the TV room. The furniture is not inviting and very uncomfortable. I gave it 4 stars because of the location. The house itself inside was 3 stars. It would not take much to be a 5 star property. I would definitely go back though. I brought a personal air conditioner evocool which helped in the master while sleeping. There is no air conditioning and it can get humid. The birds are amazing. There are quite a few homeless people in that area, although they never bothered us I feel it needs to be said. I rely on reviews and all the information myself. If you fish bring a pole. Perfect fishing location right out front. The beach is amazing.

Anini Beach House

The location of the property is amazing!! However, the photos listed are not very recent and they look to be 4-5 years old. Home needs some updating and there were items that needed repair or fixing.

Amazing to be across from the beach. Incredible views.

Incredible beach house. Location is perfect. Beach right across the dirt road (basically in the front yard, minimal traffic). Very swimmable beach, only with very high winds and rain did we need to be concerned about our smaller children in the water. Lots of space for a family to spread out. Very clean, well appointed kitchen, everything you would need for a great stay. Beds very comfortable, appreciated the two twins set up for our girls in the second bedroom, but would have been a great second master for another couple. It is a beach house, so some wear and tear, but well maintained and clean. We had an issue with the washer and it was repaired before we left. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend. Perfect place for a family vacation.

Best location on the island

We absolutely love this property and have stayed here previously but I feel the house could of been cleaner. The pillows were dirty and there was mold. It just needs a good cleaning. Overall, it was great.

Fabulous Home for 2 couples!

We had a fabulous time in the beautiful Anini House. We rented surf boards and paddle boards. We used the paddle boards in the water in front of the house and for evening floats to watch the sunset - gorgeous. The house has everything you need to have a great time. I love to cook and the kitchen is well stocked! We brought our surf shoes with us, but we didn't need to - they had a lot of shoes available in every size including kids. The other people on the beach got a kick out of the sparkly inner tubes available. We floated on those when the water was low. The staff at the rental company was very responsive and checked to make sure we didn't need anything. I would highly recommend this home for 2 couples.

Serene Relaxation

We spent a week here as a family of four (two boys ages 13 and 10), renting through Parish. Great location. Great layout. Feels like you are camping in a beachfront forest but with all the conveniences of high-end housing. Large windows pretty much surround the house. Large patio that you could spend endless hours on. We did less activities on Kauai than expected because we often just wanted to spend more time at the house. Snorkeling right in front of the house was better than expected. Within 20 or so yards of shore, poor visibility and less sea life. But by about 50 yards out, very good snorkeling. Shallow reef with lots of nooks and crevices for the fish to hide in. We always snorkeled around high tide and that might be best for sufficient clearance from the reef. Basically calm waters, winds could make some current from east to west. There are a few negatives about our stay to mention. It doesn’t have air conditioning. The windows could all be opened (with screens), and there were many ceiling fans, so the temp was fine as long as you were home and had it open. If you closed it up, it could get hot during the day. The house nextdoor to the east (about 40 feet away) was adding an extra floor, and there were construction noises a few times. If they did that all day, it would take alot away from the ambiance. Parish should have disclosed this, but they didn’t. You needed to leave the windows open at night to keep cool, which meant you heard the noise of the rain that happened most every night, including a noisy drip off the corner of the roof onto some of the foliage that plagued the second bedroom. This might be a problem for a light sleeper. The mattresses were also not great…hard and cheap feel. Again, can make it tough to sleep if you are sensitive to that. The last 50 feet or so of road to the house is dirt, and it is severely rutted and potholed. People who tried this road in low clearance vehicles typically turned around right away…we had a high clearance vehicle. Finally, an hour before our checkout the fire alarm in the second bedroom started ringing incessantly. If that had happened in the middle of the night, could have really ruined our sleep until we figured how to get up to it (way up the wall with high ceiling) and make it stop.

Great house in quiet location.

We love this house and location. It is perfect for two couples with two master suites. Even though there’s a road in front it’s like being right on the beach.

Paradise on Earth

We have traveled to many exotic beach locations around the worls and this visit surpasses all. The home is absolutely beautiful and the pictures posted do not do it justice. The kitchen is well appointed with an amazing view. Very nice grill as well. We purchased fresh fish for grilling from the Hanalei Dolphin Fish Market every day. They have a restaurant but why eat there when you have an amazing view at home?? Buy all of your poke at Foodland. It is amazing and half the price of Dolphin Fish Market. Sunset from the house was amazing. In all of our travels this was the first trip in which everything aligned to perfection. The accommodations were fabulous and we had exceptional experiences with the following excursions. Napali Sea Breeze for a cruise of the Napali coast. It departs from Anini Beach Park which is less than 5 minutes from the house. Take the morning cruise for the best snorkeling and calmer seas. We also used Napali Sea Breeze for a charter fishing trip out of Lihue port with Captain Bob and it was fabulous. Call it first time Kauai luck but we caught a 20 pound ono and a 180 pond yellowfin tuna. Can’t beat that! Captaqin Bob cleaned the Ono for us and we took what we could eat and gave the rest to Captain Bob and Ken. The tuna went to market with Captain Bob but he is the captain and that is custom here. We used Blue Hawaiian for our helicopter tour of the island and lucked out with amazing clear weather. We did the ATV waterfall tour at Kipu ranch after the helicopter tour. A lot of fun! If you like to paddle board I highly recommend having boards delivered to the house. We used Hanalei Surf School and they were easy to work with. Make sure you check the tide tables before heading out on the boards. Inside the reef is very shallow so you want to go out within 4 hours of high tide. We brought our snorkeling gear but there is some gear available at the house. The reef seems to be over fished and a bit worn in areas where people have easy access. We found the best snorkeling, if you are looking at the ocean, to your left. At low tide you will see a cluster of lava rocks just off shore. That is an easy area to snorkel. The other area, which is harder to get to would be to your right. You will need to go all the way down where there is no beach, only rocks. Straight out from there the reef has lots of colorful color coral heads for fish to hide in. I hope you are fortunate enough to experience Kauai and staying on Anini beach.

Fantastic!

This house has the most amazing view both front and back! It was clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and linens with a high thread count. I have no complaints at all. We had a blast and I can’t wait to go back next year.

Absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely wonderful! The Anini Beach house is perfect! Clean, comfortable, and really well equipped. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t here from kitchen items to beach supplies. The house is well kept and thoughtfully done. We loved the privacy and amazing views along with the close proximity to shops and restaurants. Lee was easy to deal with. You won’t be disappointed by this place! We instantly felt at home and would go back in a heart beat!!

The perfect vacation home, it has everything!

This house was absolutely perfect for what we wanted for a relaxing vacation. The house is wonderful for two couples as there is a master suite on each side with living space in the middle. It is spotless and beautifully decorated and has everything needed for cooking. The views are amazing, even looking out the back bathroom and bedroom windows. We ended up cooking most of our meals and eating on the balcony as it is such a fabulous view, we didn’t want to leave. There is a dirt road in front but still very quiet and really almost just part of the beach, which you feel is your front yard. There are the roosters which is a quirky thing all over the island, I thought it was kind of fun seeing them everywhere. It reminded me of the call to prayers as something you heard every day and got used to. You do need a car as you have to drive to do anything. Actually after driving around the rest of the island we realized we had everything here and didn’t care to go anywhere else. There is a really well stocked grocery store about ten minutes away in Princeville. One thing I think is a must is the helicopter ride over the island, it is spectacular. We went to Lahui and then later realized there is one right there in Princeville, which I would do next time. Another nearby attraction is the lighthouse which is worth a trip as it is a preserve and learned a lot and has wonderful view. I can’t think of a better place to stay and plan to go back there next time, already planning the next trip! The owners were very easy and pleasent to deal with. We did not have any reason to call on them as everything was perfect, but I felt they would have been right on it if there was anything needed. Thank you for the lovely Christmas holiday!
