Brennecke's Beach and Poipu Beach are a few blocks to the west, perfect for swimming, with a separate lagoon for young children, snorkeling, surfing and beach parties. Shipwreck Beach is a 10 minute walk to the east, best for experienced swimmers and surfers. The short walk along the coastline is breathtaking. |

A large, open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and sliding glass doors welcome you into this elegant, newly constructed home. Vivid blues and vibrant teals of the Pacific are seen from the second floor living area, whether you "hang loose" in one of two soft leather living room couches or in the furniture on the covered lanai outside. Hula Moon is dramatic and contemporary with recessed lighting, ceiling fans and koa wood trim throughout. The personal touches and unique features of this home make it stand out from the others. A dramatic black lava-like rock wall separates the living room from the large, well-equipped kitchen with its hardwood cabinets, arched doorway and tiled floor. The master suite has a large bathroom with double vanity sink, walk-in glass block shower and plenty of closet space. There's a half bath also on the main floor. A large open stairway takes you to the two downstairs guest bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, perfect for couples. There's a washer/dryer, extra linens, and beach towels. No maid service. Enjoy the CD player, VCR, TV, gas barbecue and a private phone. There is Roadrunner high speed cable internet access for those traveling with a laptop equipped with an Ethernet port. There are tropical breezes, and ceiling fans throughout to keep you cool; no A/C. |

We found this rental on the internet and one never knows what one will find in reality when a property is booked this way. Wow! We were (all six of us) ecstatic when we opened the door to our week long Kauai home. The view is spectacular and the walk to beach short. We feel blessed to have stumbled into this place. Polynesia so often seems like a dream - warm moist air, cooling trade winds, the smell of sweet tropical flowers every time you inhale - magic, and the colors! of the sea, the sky and the flowers. As if that all wasn't enough, on our second morning here, it was an unusually still time, very quiet. Just a quarter mile off our balcony, we saw a pod of humpbacks dancing, breaching and spouting. We were awestruck for a bout a half hour...
